The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera was originally a 90 minute long (but eventually 2 hour long after it proved to be successful) syndicated block. The programs aired back-to-back over a Saturday or Sunday morning. They were often glued together with filler segments like HBTV which featured music videos that were composed of classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon clips.
Please leave the finely tuned google links in place. Here's why: Any single link you include will not survive as owners of the Beck test are shutting down web sites. It's best to use the google search and let people find whatever happens to be available at the moment. Thanks for your cooperation!!! Cshay 23:36, 12 August 2005 (UTC)

The ride
The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera was a simulator ride at Universal Studios Florida, and one of the park's original attractions. The story line was that Dick Dastardly (of Wacky Racers fame) has kidnapped Elroy Jetson, Yogi Bear gives chase and the audience is in for the ride of their lives. Unlike most traditional simulator rides (such as Star Tours or Body Wars) the entire ride takes place inside an auditorium, with the audience in chairs that move. Non-moving chairs were also available for those who only wanted to watch the film.

The ride closed on October 20, 2002, and was replaced by Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, featuring the Nickelodeon TV channel's Jimmy Neutron, in spring 2003.
