This page is for nearly Featured-standard articles that need the final checking by peers before being nominated as [[Wikipedia:Featured article candidates|Featured article candidates]]. '''Requests for peer review''' are listed here to expose articles to closer scrutiny than they might otherwise receive. See [[:Category:Wikipedia style guidelines]] and [[:Category:Wikipedia how-to]] for advice on writing [[Wikipedia:How to write a great article|great articles]]. '''Note:''' [[Peer review]] is the process of review by peers and usually implies a group of authoritative reviewers who are equally familiar and expert in the subject. The process represented by this page is not formal peer review in that sense and articles that undergo this process cannot be assumed to have greater authority than any other.

You left a comment about the Quinlan redirect project a while back. To give you mu 2p worth of opinion... its a judgement call. I have changed some where it couldn't alter, but might clarify the discussion. OTOH if its a User or User Talk page, I'm more hesitant, since I view those as private property. Your strike and not approach is fine and can't bother anyone. Keep up the effort, and thanks ....[[User:LouI|Lou I]] 17:13, 6 Feb 2004 (UTC)

Why are you creating these strange redirects like [[England Hull]], They seem completley unnecesary to me. [[User:Mintguy|Mintguy]] [[User talk: Mintguy|(T)]] 22:27, 11 Mar 2004 (UTC)

[[zh:Wikipedia:同行评审]]
:That would be because they appeared at [[Wikipedia:List_of_encyclopedia_topics]], in particular for [[England Hull]], on page 23. The idea, as I understand it, is to see where there are other encylopaedias with entries we haven't got. Without the redirects, it would look like we didn't have an entry on Hull, for example. The 'England' redirects are an exception, most seem to be more sensible re-directs, such as this one [[Eminent_Domain]], re-directing [[Eminent Domain]] to [[Eminent ___domain]]. Sorry about trampling your edit in Sideshow Bob. I agree it's a good one. Glad to see you put it back in. That was my first revert and I was only trying to get rid of the stuff added at the bottom. Maybe I should have just cut it instead. I guess I went for the revert because it somehow seemed a more neutral action. [[User:Oska|Oska]] 01:46, Jul 14, 2004 (UTC)

==The Humungous Image Tagging Project==
Hi. You've helped with the [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Wiki Syntax]], so I thought it worth alerting you to the latest and greatest of Wikipedia fixing project, [[User:Yann/Untagged Images]], which is seeking to put copyright tags on all of the untagged images. There are probably, oh, thirty thousand or so to do (he said, reaching into the air for a large figure). But hey: they're images ... you'll get to see lots of random pretty pictures. That must be better than looking for ''at at'' and ''the the'', non? You know you'll love it. best wishes --[[User:Tagishsimon|Tagishsimon]] [[User_talk:Tagishsimon|(talk)]]
:Interesting, I've had a bit of a look at it, and I'll probably give it a go at some point. [[User:Silverfish|Silverfish]] 00:28, 9 Dec 2004 (UTC)

== Article Licensing ==

Hi, I've [[User:rambot#Free the Rambot Articles project|started a drive]] to get users to [[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing|multi-license]] all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the [[Creative Commons]] Attribution-Share Alike (''CC-by-sa'') v1.0 and v2.0 [[Creative Commons License|License]]s or into the [[public ___domain]] if they prefer. The ''CC-by-sa'' license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the [[GFDL]], but it allows '''other projects''', such as [[WikiTravel]], to use our articles. Since you are among the [[Wikipedia:List_of_Wikipedians_by_number_of_edits|top 2000]] Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at ''minimum'' those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:
*[[User talk:Ram-Man#Multi-Licensing FAQ|Multi-Licensing FAQ]] - Lots of questions answered
*[[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing|Multi-Licensing Guide]]
*[[User:rambot#Free the Rambot Articles project|Free the Rambot Articles Project]]

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "'''<nowiki>{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}</nowiki>'''" template into their user page, but there are other options at [[Wikipedia:Template messages/User namespace#Licensing Templates|Template messages/User namespace]]. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

:'''Option 1'''
:<nowiki>I agree to [[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing|multi-license]] all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:</nowiki>
:<nowiki>{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}</nowiki>
'''OR'''
:'''Option 2'''
:<nowiki>I agree to [[Wikipedia:Multi-licensing|multi-license]] all my contributions to any [[U.S. state]], county, or city article as described below:</nowiki>
:<nowiki>{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}</nowiki>

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public ___domain, you could replace "'''<nowiki>{{DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual}}</nowiki>'''" with "'''<nowiki>{{MultiLicensePD}}</nowiki>'''". If you only prefer using the [[GFDL]], I would like to know that too. ''Please let me know'' what you think at my '''[[User talk:Ram-Man|talk page]]'''. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- [[User:Ram-Man|Ram-Man]] ([http://en.wikipedia.org/w/wiki.phtml?title=User_talk:Ram-Man&action=edit&section=new comment]| [[User talk:Ram-Man|talk)]]

==Size==
Hey, I just want to ask how you find out the information for size of an article? I noticed you listed the stats here [[Wikipedia:Gaming Collaboration of the week/History]] and I've wanted to know where this information can be found for quite sometime. Thanks. [[User:K1Bond007|K1Bond007]] 00:28, Mar 3, 2005 (UTC)

:Have a look at the [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:Gaming_Collaboration_of_the_week#article_size_stats discussion page] for the GCOTW, there's instructions there, under the "article size stats" heading, where I had to ask. [[User:Silverfish|Silverfish]] 15:32, Mar 3, 2005 (UTC)

== [[Strike series]] ==

I've noticed it failed to get enough votes to keep itself on the GCOTW, but considering that I've spent an awful lot of time playing with them and the article I was planning to develop now ([[Constructor (video game)|Constructor]]) still is in the GCOTW, I've picked up on it and wrote a few lines on the Mega Drive games. Since you proposed the article initially, I was wondering if you could give a little input there. Cheers, [[User:WolfenSilva|wS]] 07:29, 9 Mar 2005 (UTC)
:You seem to have covered a fair amount, so I could think of anything much to add, without further research. I have had a look through, copyediting. There were a few sentence fragments, that I've deleted. I've also taken a screenshot for Desert Strike. I'll probably do a bit more at some point. Thanks for getting in touch [[User:Silverfish|Silverfish]] 16:44, Mar 9, 2005 (UTC)

==Senator Images==
Hi Silverfish, sorry to take so long to respond, buy you asked me back in January where I got my pictures of various Senators and Representatives. The source I've been using is the Biographical Directory of the United State Congress, http://bioguide.congress.gov/biosearch/biosearch.asp. The pictures of Senators and Reps are public ___domain, and provided for scholarship and educational purposes. [[User:Pm06420|Pm06420]] 02:18, 9 Apr 2005 (UTC)
