The '''International Education Center''' at [[Diablo Valley College]] ([[IEC@DVC]]) was established in 2000, and it locates in [[Pleasant Hill]] in [[Contra Costa County]], [[California]]. IEC@DVC has welcomed students from more than 40 countries, such as [[China]], [[Korea]], [[Japan]], [[Indonesia]], [[Spain]], [[France]], and so on. They works closely with DVC, which is a two-year [[community college]] with the highest rate to transfer to [[University of California, Berkeley]]. Moreover, IEC@DVC is working as a good planner for international students to study abroad and reach a successful academic life.

IEC@DVC is focusing on facilitating the acquisition of English for non-native speakers, preparing them both linguistically and culturally for academic studies and success at the college and/or university level.
 
IEC@DVC follows the above mission by:

* arranging class activities to aid the expansion and refinement of the reading, writing, listening and speaking skills;

IEC@DVC is one of the options for students who plan to transfer to [[Diablo Valley College]] (DVC)without other English proficiency, such as [[TOEFL]] or [[IELTS]]. More than 90 percent of IEC students will be successfully transfer to DVC as getting certificates from one of the academic programs:
 
===Intensive English Program===
In 2011, there were over 500 international students who had attended to Intensive English Program of IEC@DVC, over 85% of students successfully transferred to DVC for further studies.
