I propose that all ___location map templates for each subdivision in a country follow a naming convention so that they are all grouped together rather than being scattered across the entire A-Z range. For example for states in the USA: {{tl|Location map Alaska}} becomes {{tl|Location map USA Alaska}}, {{tl|Location map New York}} becomes {{tl|Location map USA New York}}. Or for Canada, {{tl|Location map British Columbia}} becomes {{tl|Location map Canada British Columbia}} and {{tl|Location map Ontario}} becomes {{tl|Location map Canada Ontario}}. ::I think you might have misunderstood my request? The discussion you refer to above was about zooming in when the map is clicked. I'm suggesting that the hyperlinks for the red dots on the map use the underlying GPS co-ordinates of that point to redirect you to geohack, as happens when you click on a [[template:coord|<nowiki>{{coord}}</nowiki>]] link.
