As a way to help deal with the backlogs, I ([[User:Grandmasterka]]) would like to propose an informal admin backlog contest. This was inspired by [
The admin backlog contest would take place during an agreed-upon week, or perhaps start and end each consecutive week. The weekly winner would be recognized with a wikicertificate and be acknowledged in the [[Wikipedia:Wikipedia Signpost|Wikipedia Signpost]]. The totals could be entirely self-reported, or it could be overseen by an admin who would recuse themselves from the contest, and the contest could focus on all areas, or a different area each week.
