There are a number of star stub sub-categories, but nowhere for white dwarfs to fit so they are variously mis-categorised, placed simply in <nowiki>{{star-stub}}</nowiki>, or not categorised at all. Here are a few I found:

===Thane geography stubs===

This stub will relate to the stub articles of [[Thane]] city, like the stub category of {{cl|Mumbai geography stubs}}. With respect to Thane, there exists a stub category of [[:Category:Thane district geography stubs|Thane district geography stubs]] with template name "Thane-geo-stub". However, this district stub is too general and further specification is needed by the creation of Thane city's geographic stub by the name "Thane geography stubs" with template name "Thane-geo-stub". Also, the district's stub template name will be updated to "Thane-district-geo-stub". : I can't find any reference to either a district or city stub template or category being proposed for creation, and normally a category would not be created for only 32 stub articles, but since there's a WikiProject Maharashtra, I suppose the district category would be appropriate. I see that you changed the category name for {{tl|Thane-district-geo-stub}} accordingly. I'd rather not support a city-level template yet, for the same reason: low population.
