===Subdividing Indian railway station stubs===

{{cl|Indian railway station stubs}} is now standing at 897 articles and one stub template, {{tlx|India-railstation-stub}}; there are no sub-categories. India has [[states and territories of India|29 states and 7 Union territories]]; I don't know of any grouping of states that would reduce the number of subdivisions below 36. Not all have railway stations ({{cl|Railway stations in India by state or union territory}} has 31 direct sub-categories, of which 28 are for states and three are for the Union territories of Chandigarh, Delhi‎ and Puducherry‎; there is no category for Sikkim state or four of the Union territories), so I propose to create a stub template for each of the states or Union territories where railway stations exist and where there is at least one stub article already. Initially they will all be upmerged; but once we have determined how many articles can use each of the new stub template, we can create stub categories for some of the states.
