hello hello. I'm a very new editor, I wanted to make a page about a vocaloid (i hope somebody knows what that is). I created a draft and began writing, is there anything I need to know on how to make it a reliable article? Also, is there anyway to make it so that other people can also edit, im sure theres people who know more than i do.

im too afraid to do something wrong D:
Tanner Rozankovic has recently hit big in the media again within the past 4 weeks having over 6 million views together in videos about him and his projects, I believe Tanner is well suitable for a biography page here on Wikipedia and would like to request a re-review of this page.

::You put "Draft:" at the front. Draft:Meiko (Software).
:Joshua Gooden, That draft is one big soapbox. The sources are unreliable, there are so many neutrality issues, and nothing suggests that the subject is notable, per both our notability criteria for biographies and our general notability criteria. To be frank, the draft seems like one big advertisement, which is probably why it was rejected in the first place. Curbon7 (talk) 06:22, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
::Almost anybody may edit almost anything in Wikipedia. Usually people will not edit a draft you are creating unless you invite them to, but they may do so.
::However, trying to get other people to work on a draft that you are creating is often not successful: editors are all volunteers, and work on what they choose to work on.
::You say "I created a draft and began writing". That is backwards: it is like starting baking a cake without first making sure you have the ingredients, or building a house without first building the foundations. First find your sources (and make sure they meet all the criteria in WP:42) and then start writing a summary of what the sources say.

This draft now cites four in-depth, independent feature articles: Airliner World (Aug 2025, 4 pages), AERO International (Sept 2025, 2 pages), Schweizer Illustrierte (May 2024, feature profile), and Vintage Aviation News (Aug 2025, online article). These are independent, reliable, secondary sources with significant coverage of Horizon Sun Charters. Could you please clarify what additional sourcing or evidence is still needed for the draft to meet the notability standard under WP:ORG? Ray Aviator (talk) 01:23, 25 August 2025 (UTC)
How is this topic not notable? As per my understanding of wikipedia’s policies i see this very easily passes GNG and has strong RS. This was last time deleted due to storm of comments by sockpuppete. I’d like to know the reason of declining of this submission with respect to Wikipedia’s policies. What policy does it fail? I have checked, it meets WP:GNG, WP:Basic very easily. Also I’m being labelled as if I’ve taken money for this but my sole reason is to add this article to Wikipedia because I believe this would be a good addition. I have came across way too many articles who don’t have enough reliable sources, but they still stand here. Why is that? Does wikipedia have diff policies for diff people?
Warm Regards---Abhay EsportsTalk To Me 06:16, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
:Abhayesports Please read other stuff exists. Other similar articles existing does not automatically mean that yours can too. Each draft or article is judged on its own merits. As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible for inappropriate articles to get by us. We can only address what we know about. If you would like to pitch in and help, you are welcome to help identify other inappropriate articles for possible action.
:Your draft was declined because it just told about the person and what they do. Wikipedia articles must do more, they must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about a person, showing how they meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person. It's not enough to just tell us what the person has done, it must summarize what others say about why the subject is significant.
:For a more specific answer, please ask the reviewer directly. 331dot (talk) 09:46, 26 June 2021 (UTC)
::331dot, Thank you for the clarification, the tone might not be good yet but how does that make the subject non-notable? As per my understanding and research on wikipedia, the notability is defined by multiple Reliable sources and as per 3 best sources rule, Zeyan Shafiq clearly meets them, last time there was an AfD for it and it was stormed by fake people trying to get the article down, i'm up for a discussion on which policy has the reviewer(Hatchens )followed while declining it? There must be something that this subject fails, otherwise the only reason which i can think off is the reviewer has declined it because i have a COI with this subject since he is my employer, but i tried to make it very neutral just because i think it definitely deserves an Wikipedia article just like other CEO's in the space, i tried to trim the promotional content as much as i could and i feel it is a good fit for the encyclopaedia at this version and maybe if some more volunteers would help in they could trim it further and make it much more neutral.Warm Regards---Abhay EsportsTalk To Me 17:16, 26 June 2021 (UTC)

The draft article "Henk Jan de Jonge" has been moved to the start-class. I have looked at the suggestions for improvement of drafts in this class. However, in my view, all the references are to reliable, verifiable, impartial sources or to objective, peer reviewed scholarly publications. The content of the draft seems reasonably complete. If there are other imperfections (grammar, style?), could you please point these out to me?

My draft article about Kanchan Adhikari rejected and reason given that there is lack of notability about the person. I don't understand how can article reviewer can comment this. Kanchan Adhikari has done tremendous job in the marathi film industry, she is an old, popular and respected name in the industry. Her films are among best feature films in the marathi film industry. all these have been shared in reference URLs.

The submission was rejected so soon, it cannot be assumed that any proper consideration was given to the content. This is disappointing and unacceptable.
Even if this article is rejected at this time, it will be approved within months. The Dick F. Weissmann meme is the subject of considerable investigation, for which considerable research will be published in the coming months.
The memes, which existed tacitly within certain environments, are being collated and published.
There are plans in the pipeline to depict derivations of the Dick F. Weissmann meme in other mediums.
This will eventually turn out to be the "Murphy" or "Karen" of a particular setting.
Therefore, even if the content does not seem important to the bot making the decisions, it soon will be undeniable, and this submission may just as well be accepted at this point in time.

:Hello, @BryantK2022. On a quick look, most of your cited sources are either not independent (published by FileCloud, or quoting them), or are about the product not the company, or are routine business announcements - none of which contribute to establishing that the company meets Wikipedia's criteria for notability.

:As for other articles: some of those 3-citation articles may have three really high quality independent secondary sources; but in most cases the article dates from before we were so careful, and was never reviewed or "accepted". Unfortunately, we have thousands and thousands of seriously substandard articles which ought to be improved or eleted; but this being a volunteer project, most people want to work on shiny new articles and not go back and bring the existing ones up to scratch: see other stuff exists. :Hi @BryantK2022. Each draft must stand on it's own merits, and we don't compare them to existing articles. Wikipedia has many millions of articles, tens of thousands of which are poor quality and should be improved or deleted. As we're a volunteer project no one has gotten around to doing that yet. If you have found articles that are of poor quality, please do feel free to improve them or nominate them for deletion. We don't want to add more poor quality articles to the project. Many older articles were also created before standards were as strict and may not meet modern notability requirements, or were created directly bypassing the Articles for Creation process, or were created before the Articles for Creation process even existed.

I created my first article draft. It is an article about a corporation, Island Creek Oysters. In the article, I have defined the business, identified the founder, chronologically detailed its history, and provided a contextual basis for the business. I am in no way affiliated with the business in question or persons involved in the business. It has been rejected because it reads like an advertisement. How can I appear any less biased?

:WP:CITE describes how to properly cite sources on Wikipedia. Just dropping a huge list of site names is not helpful; you need specific information in an article to redirect to the exact place where the content in the article is found. Just saying "NFL.com" or "Google.com" is insufficient. In addition, just being a football player is not enough to pass Wikipedia's definition of notability. :Hi, it appears you're writing about yourself, and before you go any further, you need to read and understand WP:AUTO. Starting a new article from scratch is one of the hardest tasks in Wikipedia, and people who successfully write autobiographies are very rare. To successfully do so, you need to know Wikipedia rules inside and out, and be able to completely separate yourself, ignoring anything you know about your own life, and only source it from reliable, independent sources providing significant coverage about you.
:The article you've written provides no such sources, and without sources, there's no article. You also use very flowery, promotional language. It's a tertiary concern at this point, but it's also very hard to read the article at all, as it's just a giant wall of text with sentences thrown together in no particular order.
:At this point, before even thinking about writing about yourself, you should familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines and start off by making smaller, simple edits to articles. I would still recommend against writing an autobiography, and waiting for uninvolved editors to choose to write an article about you as a notable subject, but without more experience first, you may be spending a lot of time working on a draft that has basically no chance of being accepted. The article was declined for not quoting reliable sources, as well as damaged references which I've repaired. However, save the amazon reference which I removed, every other reference for this author is reliable. I'd be grateful if you can tell me why the rest are not considered reliable, when similar pages have been accepted. Many thanks for your assistance

:Thanks for the ping. This draft was most certainly at least edited by an LLM, a fact that becomes even more clear when viewing , which was since cleaned up to remove some of the most obvious hallmarks. My recommendation would be to read some similar articles and start from scratch without using an LLM at all, even for editing. Beyond that, large portions of the article are uncited. You can generally assume that everything you write will require an inline citation. Hope that helps. Cheers, MediaKyle (talk) 15:48, 26 August 2025 (UTC)

::I fully accept the point on citations and will certainly increase them.
::What are the clear hallmarks of LLM editing? If I start from scratch, it will be written in a similar way (with more inline citations) and I don't want to end up in the same situation.
::I've looked at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Signs_of_AI_writing and my initial guesses are overuse of boldface (fair enough, this is my first article and I didn't know the rules initially, hence the edits) and possibly incorrect use of markdown (again, that's inexperience).

Hello! I'm working on a draft article [Draft:John_C._Volin] which satisfies [WP:NPROF] criteria #6, specifically point #6b, as he is the current president of Gustavus Adolphus College. I only really have two references, one of which is a publication from the institution, but [WP:NPROF] point #6a says that since it is being used "For documenting that a person has held such a post" it would be considered a reliable source. The reviewer said it was a promising article, but it just needed some clarification and justification.

I based the structure of the draft off of the existing article for our previous president [Rebecca_M._Bergman]. In that article, two of the three references there are the same URL pointing to the institution's "President's Office" page, and yet it still got accepted.
On same day I responded, as follows:

The problem I'm having is that it looks like almost all of the content was removed and hidden due to an RD1 violation, but as stated in my multiple COI declarations, I am an employee of the college and own the copyright for that content. I'm not sure if I need to do another total re-write or what, because rearranging the sentences in 1.5 paragraphs doesn't seem like it will be satisfactory either. Any advice is appreciated, thanks! Under Wikipedia guidelines [heading: Under Additional Criteria (Any Biography)] notable includes "The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor". Mahal is a recipient of Queen Elizbeth ll Golden Jubilee award by the Canadian government under their criteria "The Medal was awarded to Canadians who have made outstanding and exemplary contributions to their communities or to Canada as a whole." Even Wikipedia affirms "In Canada, the medal was administered by the Chancellery of Honours at Rideau Hall and was awarded to Canadians who made a significant contribution to their fellow citizens, their community, or to Canada over the previous fifty years." (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Queen_Elizabeth_II_Golden_Jubilee_Medal).

:@Tlauer2: it is debatable whether a small, even if relatively old (at least by US standards), liberal arts college satisfies the NACADEMIC #6 requirement of "major academic institution". It may do, I'm not categorically saying it doesn't, but this is by no means obvious.
On June 25th the reviewer replied:
:And whether an article exists on the previous holder of the same post is quite frankly neither here nor there (see WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS), because drafts are assessed not by comparison to existing articles but by reference to the prevailing policies and guidelines.
:As for the copyright violation, just because you are an employee of this organisation does not, in and of itself, mean that you own the copyright to their content. Even if you created the said content, if you did so in the course of employment, it is much more likely that your employer owns the right, not you personally. The easiest way around this particular point, by far, would be for you to rephrase (not closely paraphrase, which in itself can violate copyright) the content in your own words. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 18:55, 26 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi -- I just inserted a <ref> for a reference about a person who is mentioned in Wikipedia pages but does not have his own page. I believe a reviewer should be open minded, just, fair and without bias. Reviewer has failed on two fronts.
Firstly, I find his innuendo of my being a “paid writer” offensive and uncalled for.
Secondly, he appears to belittle the significance of an award given to people for “outstanding and exemplary contributions to their communities” in Canada.

Hello, I am new to Wikipedia and my draft article about the scientist "CHAOGEJILATU" was recently declined. The reason given was that there is not enough significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources.

As a beginner, I would greatly appreciate kind advice from experienced editors:
I have no quarrel with reviewer's assessment of the draft. Your remarks, however, indicate circling of the wagons.

- What kinds of sources would be sufficient to demonstrate notability for a scientist?
FYI I was upfront with the declaration of conflict of interest. To avoid even the slightest perception of conflict of interest I declared my association with Mahal, in following words:
- Are academic journal publications (where the subject is a co-author) acceptable as significant coverage, or do I need more independent media coverage such as newspapers, interviews, or magazines?
- If my current references are not enough, what steps should I take to improve the draft so that it has a realistic chance of being accepted?

Thank you very much for your time and support.
I was a founding member of a Sikh discussion group on Yahoo-Groups, now shut down. I was approached by Mahal in 2012 to help publish his book - about a Sikh emperor - as it could then be disseminated widely among the 1200 Sikh members of the group. No fees were asked nor paid. My son and I helped Mahal on the publication on Kindle Direct Publishing. I do not have friendly relationship with Mahal. As our members bought his book and wrote favorably about it, and as I came across his recently published book "Origin of Jat Race", I was impressed with his works and decided to explore his life and activities. As I delved into his life I got persuaded to write his bio. To write the bio I contacted Mahal.

::In this case, we have a guideline WP:NPROF, which might be applicable to scientists in academia. One could also make an argument that a scientist is notable based on an influence factor, provided that influence factor is way beyond what's expected of an average scientist at that point in their career. I don't recall seeing this reasoning covered by our policies; indeed, most of the time I've seen these scores used is to argue against notability for run-of-the-mill academics.

Why was my article declined? I am an indian actress and all my works are being incorrectly directed to an actor Aisha Uqbah Malik, which is not me, please verify my existence in the below link. I have also worked in Indian television series called Behenein, Haar Jeet, Diya aur Bati, Khwaish and a movie Ishawar.
I am unsure why my draft is getting rejected. It feels like it is fit for wikipedia as it states information that is 100% fact, no fiction. I have not shown bias or favouritism, it simply informs people of important information about many peoples lives. :Thomas93201 The draft was declined, not rejected. Rejected has a specific meaning in the draft process, that a draft may not be resubmitted. Declined means that it may be resubmitted.

:I'm extremely confused by the article. You're writing an article Ipsen Bottle, but most of the cites seem more fitting for an article about its creator, and don't really talk much, if it all, about the named type of bottle. If you decided to cover the bottle, you need to provide sources about the bottle that explain why and how the bottle itself is notable. But a good place to start is to just sit and decide what you want this article to be about, and then write based on only those sources that provide significant coverage about the subject. Can someone help tell me what needs further removed from my draft to make this publishable? :AgentX50 the issue here is the article as it stands now is more about their works then the actual subject. This is currently not demonstrating how the author meets the WP:AUTHOR threshold. A biography should be about the person and not as much about their works. If no one has actually written about the author they may not be notable enough for inclusion as we probably wouldn't be able to write a verifiable article on their life. Now with that being said some of their books may be notable if you can show with proper referencing they meet WP:NBOOK. For this to happen you will need to cite full reviews of the works from reputable sources as well as proof of any literary awards. ::Mcmatter Thanks--you're describing my first draft that the reviewer rejected and I pared back. Note: He didn't reject either of my drafts for WP:AUTHOR threshold, but for sources. If I resubmit the first version about the author specifically--the bio--I expect he'll reject again and for his same reason, again sources, despite my using the very entities that define what is popular or famous literature in the U.S. The cited sources for each award were/are the very websites of these well-known, national awards. I basically copied the format of existing author profiles on Wikipedia (actually for authors not as famous as this author, which is what initially prompted me to make a list of famous authors missing from Wikipedia but referenced throughout several listings on Wikipedia) so I'm not sure what to do next. (BTW after getting each author's page approved my plan was to add their bestselling works). :::AgentX50 The sources are the issue as the one which discuss the author proper only one is considered reliable (The Kansas City Star), the other is a press release and is not really worth anything for us to establish notability. All of the other references are about awards for books not the author. The Kansas State Library also is generally not going to be considered a significant award for notability sakes. Starting with the books may be a better path as if you can prove that the books are in fact notable then the author may then also be considered notable as a creative professional with multiple notable works. Hello Wikipedians, I'm kindly asking for advice. Many months ago, I created a draft on the Bihler company (Draft:Otto Bihler Maschinenfabrik). It has since been declined multiple times, but I don't quite understand why. It is said that WP:NCORP is not met. However, in that draft, I have demonstrated, using a source assessment table, why I believe that the Bihler company has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. I know that not every source that I have cited falls within the WP:SIRS criteria, but still, I feel that, the number of sources that do, is sufficient. It would be very helpful to have a second thought on this. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you! @ User:Novem Linguae. -- Casa Coto (talk) 08:37, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

:I haven't done a detailed analysis yet, but if other reviewers are still declining it, maybe your source assessment table is being too generous. Do all your sources have 3 meaty paragraphs of detail about the company? Are they independent (i.e. no press releases disguised as articles, no articles that are mostly quotations, no advertorials, etc)? Is at least one of the sources regional, national, or international? These are all things needed to pass WP:NCORP and WP:GNG. See also User:Novem Linguae/Essays/Nuances of GNG and User:Novem Linguae/Essays/Novem's words of wisdom #6. It's been 2 months since you submitted this... if you think it passes, maybe submit it again and add a comment asking for detailed source feedback in the event of a decline. Hope this helps. :Comments on your assessment table:
:* You list the Hesse source as secondary, but describe it as an encyclopedia. That means it's a tertiary source.
:* You assess four sources in total to meet the criteria of reliable, independent, and significant coverage. Those would be good sources, but...
:* it isn't clear that they provide significant coverage of the company, its products, the punch-bending process, or Otto Bihler himself. Those are four different topics, and this draft is about one topic. For example, the Kolbe source discusses the technology and how the machine works, but what about the company, which is the topic of this draft?

Hello,

My draft, "Draft:Radio Duhok," has been declined multiple times due to a lack of "in-depth coverage" from reliable, independent sources, according to the last reviewer.
:When the draft was first declined, it was with a comment explaining why each of the eight sources was inadequate, and that the entire draft is written like an advertisement. As far as I can see, you removed three of the poor sources, added six others that are just as inadequate, and resubmitted without doing anything about the promotional writing. "Lots of sources" is irrelevant, if all the sources are useless. --bonadea contributions talk 13:40, 28 June 2021 (UTC)

I have tried my best to find good sources and have included:
05:10:48, 28 June 2021 review of submission by Ali2351
1. Two official announcements from the Duhok Governorate's website congratulating the radio on its anniversary.

2. A feature article about the radio in the well-known regional "Gulan Magazine" (Issue 829, 2010), which refers to it as the "authentic voice of the governorate."

Could an experienced editor please take a look at these sources and provide some feedback? I am struggling to understand why these are considered insufficient for notability. Specifically, I would like to know if the Gulan Magazine article is just a "brief mention" and what an example of an "in-depth" source would look like for a subject like this.

I am requesting a review on the Wikipedia page for Intimacy Coordinator Vanessa Coffey. She is notable within her industry, which since the #MeToo movement is of increasing importance. Actress Michaela Coel recently praised the work of Intimacy Coordinators in her BAFTA acceptance speech, bringing the role to the forefront of the media and securing an abundance of press requests for Vanessa to explain more about Intimacy Coordination.

However, three times I received feedback that the draft was written by AI. I respectfully emphasize that I wrote the article myself, and therefore I ask you to indicate exactly which sentences or parts appear to you as AI-generated.
In addition, I was told that my sources are “not relevant.” Could you please clarify how relevance is determined? For example, The Heritage Private School article was accepted with only one source, while my draft contains 17 independent sources, yet it has not passed review.
Finally, the article cannot be considered promotional, because it contains no evaluative or laudatory language. I removed all subjective judgments and left only verifiable, encyclopedic content supported by citations.

:::@Newacctowork: you're normally meant to summarise what the sources say. :::::The long and short of it is that the vast majority of schools are not notable enough to justify an article. At two years old, this school is basically a startup, and the vast majority of startups are likewise not notable. Any media coverage that may exist is therefore almost by definition likely to originate in the school's marketing team, as is clearly the case with the sources cited in this draft. If the school was a major new initiative or an attempt at educational reform by the gov't of Cyprus, there might be independent mainstream media coverage of it, but here we're talking about a niche private school for a particular group of expats. This is exactly what concerns me: does it comply with Wikipedia rules that a school without media coverage is published, while a school with coverage is not? Hello to everyone. I have seen that my Draft has been declined by some admins. But, I can assure that the person is notable. Also, all the important things are given. Promotional tones and wording are removed. He has won several international business awards. Also, he is a similar character to founder of Dilmah tea brand, Merrill J. Fernando. So, his article is saved. But my article has deleted or rejected. I don't get that. Most of you are telling it is not encyclopedic. But I have added some notable awards and other prose, but later you said they are under promotional. So, I am confused. Also I have given several reliable primary and secondary sources, in local language, English language. Some are newspaper articles, which are purely reliable. So my point is, why we cannot improve the article and just accept it. There are many useless single sentence articles in Wikipedia on biography. But in my article, I have provided all the necessities to accept the article. But, you are keep deleting and refusing it. I hope you will understand. Thank You.

Hi my article got denied for the reason that it does not qualify for a Wikipedia article due to not having reliable sources. I'm trying to aim for the notability that the album charted in a national music chart, specifically in the Oricon and Billboards charts. I just wanted to make sure that these links count towards reliability and notability under secondary or independent sources

I believe this is sufficient enough to be posted because the representative is very popular in massachusetts and his children receive enough attention to have a wikipedia page/
Regarding comments on 29 April by editor Paul W, a public media search likely supports relevance/notoriety for Sam Bregman, but that was not established with proper sources and citations.

Earlier entries for Sam Bregman were rejected for relevance, formatting, peacocking and lack of supporting citations. The latest edits attempt to remove problematic text, clean up formatting and citations, comply with tone and informational intentions of Wikipedia entries for public figures, and establish relevance.

* Rewritten in neutral prose.
* Replaced weak/self-published links with strong independent sources (Forbes, Miami Herald, Vogue, New York Post, Purist, Yahoo).
* Corrected citations (ISBN for book, Vogue link, NYU Nexus PDFs confirming Acton Medal and Curatola Wing).

Good afternoon,

After 4 months in review the article I've created on Adolf Shapiro (theatre director) was declined by the user Scorpions13256 citing minimum standard for inline citations.

Unfortunately the user Scorpions13256 is unavailable for any comment, user talk page is down for mental health issues.

The article does not contain direct quotations, no challenged statements or statements tagged with "citation needed", no statement that is likely to be challenged, and no contentious material.

The article also contains 18 inline citations.

Furthermore, the article is a translation of the article within Russian language wikipedia which apparently does meet citation standards. Except where Russian language article has 12 inline citation here we expanded the list to 18.

Perhaps the problem is with citation format, or some specific statement is causing the article to be declined, but since the reviewer is unavailable for comment I have no choice but to request help here.

Thank you in advance.

I would like to speed up my draft review, and add a category to my draft:Małgorzata Cybulska. It is about Tokyo Summer Olympics 2020, women equestrian/ eventing athletes. Unfortunately, the category I see is "german scientists" and don't know how to change it.
I would like to add this tag about Tokyo since my draft is about one of the nominated athletes for Tokyo that did not have her article yet, so publishing this article should be fast.
