I can't imagine why you think this is better than just saying it's used to write characters from the Greek alphabet. The Greek language doesn't require the Greek alphabet. This code page supplies characters which can be used for any purpose, and my original statement is not wrong even if it's true that it's only used to write the Greek language. You made up a complex and basically unsourceable claim in favor of a simple prima facie true one, but whatever...
