Born in paris, this band was founded in January 2002, Crack ov Dawn was formed by guitarist Sexy Sadie and vocalist Vinnie Valentine.

Soon after joined up by vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Britney Beach, the band was assemble and ready to play. The next six months were spent writing material, rehearsing and developing sounds and lyrics for the new band.

The band was founded in January 2002 in [[Paris]], [[France]], by guitarist Sexy Sadie and vocalist Vinnie Valentine. Soon after, they joined up with vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Britney Beach. The next six months were spent rehearsing and writing material for the new band.

In Summer of 2003, Vinnie and Britney met Mallaury Murder whileafter being thrown offout of a parisianParisian club and recruited him as a bassist. Xander Xanax, an old friend of Mallaury Murder, took the position of drummer, soon joined by Spicy Sky on guitars. The band soon signed with Equilibre Music, and released their debut album, "Dawn Addict" in 2004.

ASongwriters Sexy Sadie and Britney Beach like to describe the band's music as 'Shock-Pop', a style which combines electronic beats, heavy metal riffs and pop sounds also with Gothic Glam and '70 Punk/Shock-Rock.

Eleven songs were selected for their [[Dawn Addict]] debut album,

which was a surprise to a lot of rock fans. Some even said « This is [["Apetite for Destruction"]] for 2004 and beyond. ».

Vinnie Valentine left the band in 2005, and the rest of the band continued without him, releasing "White Line" in June 2006.

Ex-vocalist Vinnie Valentine (aka RMS Hreidmarr) has also sung for the black metal band [[Anorexia Nervosa (band)|Anorexia Nervosa]] and is currently in the industrial metal band [[The Cosa Nostra Klub|The CNK]].

Vinnie Valentine (Also known as Nicolas St Morand aka Mr Hreidmarr last singer of nihilistic metal [[Anorexia Nervosa]] currently on [[The CNK]]), left the band, and the rest of the band went on with the recording of the Dawn Addict successor : "White Line". The release date is June 2006, The Album has received quite a polarized because of the fact that they blend pop music with metal music something that in the metal community is quite disturbing but for others it has been one of the best albums of 2006.

Crack ov Dawn has a growing number of fans, and has received good critics on youtube for [["From My Shades"]] video.
