Jenny Toomey ha fatto parte delle band ''Geek'', ''Tsunami'', ''Liquorice'', ''Grenadine'', ''So Low and Choke'' e ha realizzato anche degli album a suo nome.<ref name=PhilaCityPaper-Tsunami-Ladyfest-2003>{{cite news|last1=Rapa|first1=Patrick|title=The Match: Indie rock mothers of invention Tsunami are still fighting the good fight and reuniting for Ladyfest|url=http://citypaper.net:80/articles/2003-03-20/cover9.shtml|work=[[Philadelphia City Paper]]|date=20 March 2003}}</ref> Nel 1990 Toomey è stata tra i fondatori dell'etichetta discografica [[Simple Machines]] assieme ad un amico che ha abbandonato il progetto poco dopo.
