* Provide as much detail as possible: a full citation with author, title, publisher, date and identifiers like [[Wikipedia:Digital Object Identifier|DOI]], [[Wikipedia:ISBN|ISBN]], [[Wikipedia:ISSN|ISSN]], [[Wikipedia:PMID|PMID]], [[Wikipedia:OCLC|OCLC]], etc. '''Indicate which article you need this for'''.
* '''{{red|Due to copyright restrictions, we cannot send you full book/thesis copies.}}''' Narrow down your request to a specific chapter or page(s).
* Since we cannot post original copyrighted material online, we will most likely send it by email. Make sure you have specified an email address in your preferences before asking.
* Add the {{tl|Resolved}} template when your request is completed.
* Filled requests are [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request/Filled requests|archived]]. Requests unfilled after three months will also be archived.

If you are unable to obtain what you need here, you may be able to get it via the [[WP:Resource support pilot|WMF resource support pilot]].

====Fulfilling a request====
Line 27 ⟶ 31:
** post a [[Uniform Resource Locator|URL]] address (&nbsp;<nowiki>https://...</nowiki>&nbsp;) if the material is available online and [[WP:COPYLINK|the webpage does not infringe others' copyrights]]
** share scans of pages or documents using a file-sharing service if legal
** upload '''out of copyright''' works to [[:c:Main Page|Wikimedia Commons]] and/or [[:s:Main Page|Wikisource]] (make sure your institution's policies allow this). Check [[:c:Copyright rules by territory|Wikimedia Commons's guide for copyright in each jurisdiction]] if in doubt.

== Looking for one book ==

Looking for one book. I only remember the beginning of the piece. Some guy found a derelict computer, sat down at it and started doing something, and then he saw a man with a gun walk up to the desk, they looked at each other in silence for a while, then the guy mechanically pressed the Enter button and the man shot him back. The work was read in the 1990s or very early 2000s. The piece appeared no later than the 1990s (probably earlier). I also remember that the guy was doing something enthusiastically on the computer: at first he typed without looking at the screen, but the message on the computer monitor made him do his work more slowly and carefully. The phrases went something like this. The message on the computer screen made him work more carefully. Behind the desk stood a man with a gun in his hand. The guy had never seen a real gun, except in the movies, but he knew immediately what it was. The guy's hand dropped mechanically to the Enter button, and the same second the black muzzle of the gun burst into flames, ending his life.

*Review by [[Don D'Ammassa]] (1986) in [[Science Fiction Chronicle]], #79 April 1986, p. 44

The introduction is for [[Khamti people]] as a possible source, tale 16 for "The Story of the Hamadryad" (girl marries python).
I unfortunately do not have page #s but if you are able to help me find these reviews, I would appreciate that.

The alternate for tale 29 indicates it is a Khamti variant of [[Sang Thong]] (aka. "The Prince in a Golden Conch [Shell]"), because "Hǒi-sang" was the name used by J. Leyden and Captain James Low to indicate the existence of the tale in the early 19th century.

''The Story of a Fairy and a Prince'' is homonymous with a tale first collected from a Shan source and published by [[Mrs. Leslie Milne]] in 1910. Milne's tale is a Shan variant of ATU 408 and the Indian "[[The Belbati Princess]]". Would like to see if it another variant or a reedition of Milne's text. In the latter's case, will add it as a reprint and later to separate the Shan tales.

"White Shell-fish" has a parallel title to a Shan tale published by B. R. Pearne in [[Journal of the Burma Research Society]] with the title "The Silver Oyster", which has been pointed as a Shan variant of [[Sang Thong]]. Possibly another variant of the Shan tale.
:{{ping|TrangaBellam}} If there aren't digital copies available online, I could probably get you a copy from a library, scan it, and send it to you. :::None, sadly. I also tried calling their phone number from [https://www.pagasa.dost.gov.ph/contact-us PAGASA (dost.gov.ph)] and no results. I ''could'' walk-in to their office as a last resort, but it would be at most a month before I have the free time to do so.

:::Hi {{u|Tavantius}}, I have bad news. <u>PAGASA provides no response</u>. I've been calling their trunklines multiple times, but they (the local lines themselves, not necessarily the data) are "unavailable" from what I received. I was being directed to different departments, then eventually the data specialists of "1122" line. When I call their local line, I receive that their line in unavailable at the moment. The best I can advise is send an email yourself and be as detailed as possible (e.g. your info: name, organization, which they asked from me). You can ask again in [[WP:TAMBAY]]. For me, it would be very unlikely I'll send the cyclone report this month (or year, even). I'm sorry. [[User:RFNirmala|RFNirmala]] ([[User talk:RFNirmala|talk]]) 03:04, 4 November 2024 (UTC)

== Monograph of the genus ''Hypericum'' ==
Hello all, I'm a specialist who's done a lot of work on the genus ''[[Hypericum]]'', but my recent work has been stymied because I can't access a source. The main corpus of work on this genus was done by Norman Robson, who produced a monograph over the latter half of the 20th century. The first few volumes are freely available, but I've been unable to find the later volumes anywhere. If anyone has access to these papers or knows where to find them I would be incredibly grateful:
#Studies in the genus Hypericum L. (Hypericaceae). 5(2). Section 17. Hirtella to 19
#Studies in the genus Hypericum L. (Hypericaceae) 5(1). Sections 10. Olympia to 15/16. Crossophyllum
#Studies in the genus Hypericum L. (Hypericaceae) 9. Addenda, corrigenda, keys, lists and general discussion
#Studies in the genus Hypericum L. (Clusiaceae). Section 9. Hypericum sensu lato (part 3): Subsection 1. Hypericum series 2. Senanensia, subsection 2. Erecta and section 9b. Graveolentia
#Studies in the genus Hypericum L. (Guttiferae) 4(1). Sections 7. Roscyna to 9. Hypericum sensu lato (part 1)
#Studies in the genus Hypericum L. (Guttiferae). 6. Sections 20. Myriandra to 28. Elodes
#Studies in the genus Hypericum L. (Guttiferae) 8. Sections 29. Brathys (part 2) and 30. Trigynobrathys
And any others you might be able to find! Thank you in advance, being able to access these works will unlock my ability to comprehensively cover this fascinating genus. [[User:Fritzmann2002|Fritzmann]] ([[User talk:Fritzmann2002|message me]]) 13:29, 29 October 2024 (UTC)

Hi. I need this book specifically for his views on things since I can't find any source that specifically mentions what he thought. Referring to the [https://d-nb.info/575597259/04 table of contents here], I mostly just need Section VI (pp. 239-311) and Section III (pp. 113-184). If only one chapter could be obtained since I know it is a huge part of the book, I'd prefer Section III since it addresses more, but it would be very helpful if I could access both.

This was briefly cited in Chapter 8 of ''A Nation in Waiting: Indonesia in the 1990s'' which is one of the main sources of the English wikipedia article of [[Indonesian occupation of East Timor]]. Although I own a copy of this book and have perused the chapter multiple times, I believe a careful review of the original newspaper source is indispensable. Thank you for your great help in advance, [[User:王桁霽|王桁霽]] ([[User talk:王桁霽|talk]]) 00:01, 25 July 2025 (UTC)

Does anyone have access to this paper? Seems to be from a journal that ceased publication in the 1990s, so it doesn't seem to have made it online.
For [[ObsCure II]]. A French survival horror game from 2007 and a sequel to the 2004 horror game ''ObsCure''. Dropped the perma-death mechanic the first one became known for. I don't know what the actual review titles are, so I just insterted the game's title based on region to avoid messing up the templates.

<!-- Wikipedia articles being improved. --> [[Cladodont]], [[Stethacanthus]], [[Phoebodus]], [[Symmorium]], [[Elasmobranchii]], [[Symmoriiformes]], [[Fish jaw]]
I already have access to the 1979 thesis version of this article in full, via this [https://www.proquest.com/openview/76e3baf6e9a87faec03802e9768c2fde/1?pq-origsite=gscholar&cbl=18750&diss=y] ProQuest link, however I do not have access to the final published draft. This article redefines the [[Cladodont]] sharks and provides the initial description for the order [[Symmoriiformes]] and significant information on ''[[Cladoselache]]'', ''[[Stethacanthus]]'', ''[[Phoebodus]]'' and ''[[Cobelodus]]'', as well as many taxa that do not yet have finished articles due to the lack of reliable sources. Additional information is provided regarding the evolution of [[Elasmobranchii]] and the evolution of [[Fish jaw|fish jaws]], which can also be added to these articles. I am under the impression that theses are not suitable citations for Wikipedia, and I assume a significant amount of revision took place between the publication of the thesis and the final article. I'm not able to provide a paywalled link to the article's 1985 version, nor a DOI.

For [[Pyrrhic victory]] and [[Pyrrhic War]]. Specifically, the portion I would be interested in are the etymology and meaning & use tabs, which are paywalled.
I'm drafting an article offline on Paul Creston's saxophone sonata (will transfer to my sandbox soon) and came across these references in multiple sources. I've tried to be as specific as possible with pages, etc., but cannot access the ToC for several of these. Priority is Hulsebos, Frigo and Sibbing, but any help is much appreciated.

For [[User:Theleekycauldron/San Fernando Valley secession efforts]]. There's a PDF online, but it has to be a preprint because it claims to be from November 2001 and talks about a 2001 referendum, except neither of those are possible because the referendum was in 2002. Does anyone have access to Icons of Black America: Breaking Barriers and Crossing Boundaries. ISBN 0313376433, 9780313376436. It's in 3 volumes.
The reason I'm asking is because the [[Hattie McDaniel]] page, says: "In 1908, she entered a contest sponsored by the Women's Christian Temperance Union, reciting "Convict Joe", later claiming she had won first place." This is referenced to Icons of Black America (plus another link which doesn't seem to lead anywhere). If I Google it, there are websites which state that she did win this prize (ie https://collections.new.oscars.org/Details/Archive/70043581). I'd like to know if there is a story behind this so-called "claim" to have won a contest - it's an odd way of describing it, if she did in fact win. If anyone can access this, and find something about Hattie McDaniel reading this poem, I would be very appreciative.

The article on [[soroban]] describes a contest that took place in 1946 between an abacus operator and an electric calculator operator. The article currently states that it took place on November 12, 1946, but I have found evidence that it actually took place on the 11th; I'd like copies of the newspaper articles quoted in the current version of the article to see if they have more information, one from the Stars and Stripes (presumably a Pacific edition) and one from the Nippon Times. Because I'm not sure which chapter(s) would be of most use to me, I'm not asking for a copy of the resource, just want to know if I'm missing it. Thanks. Hi. I do not know the exact chapter and page range for this one, but it should be around the early to mid 200s pages based on Folberth citing himself for the trials around those pages in other books on Brill. I am specifically trying to find reactions to his execution by national authorities in Transylvania around the time, whether they be Romanian, Hungarian, or Saxon. The live article mentions Kossuth and Bem reacting, but I presume it is based on that book because later Folberth books don't seem to mention it and only refer back to Prozess (or Prozeß). The only mention I could find, if it helps, was that "Bem was enraged" at p. 212 so further mentions should be around there, I believe.

My library's metadata suggests 1962. The true title is not known; the English bibliography and WebOPAC give different ones.

I've sent in an ILL request to my library but I'm not sure whether they'll be able to fulfill this. Given what I know about Yasuko Mukoyama, the article will probably be useful in an article like ''[[My Ántonia]]'' or a similar novel article.

This book may be available to some of the people on this page.[https://search.worldcat.org/title/4486162] I was able to read a few paragraphs from the link to GBooks, but HathiTrust search index shows there is more material about the subject scattered throughout the book, but mostly on two major pages. The other pages may not be as relevant. This is for a work in progress on the 1889 [[User:Viriditas/sandbox47|Canyon Diablo train robbery]]. Thanks. (Curiously the citation given in the Wikipedia article did not include the title of the cited National Geographic article, so all I can give you to go on is the date and author name and the fact that the article should discuss the superstition of the Evil Eye and the use of palm-shaped amulets to protect against it.)

::Nice - thank you!
::(For my edification, how did you find this? That scan doesn't seem to be part of any NG-related collection nor mention the month in any of its metadata; even after looking at the search functionality on the IA site a bit, I still wouldn't have a clue how to craft a search that would find it!) [[User:ExplodingCabbage|ExplodingCabbage]] ([[User talk:ExplodingCabbage|talk]]) 08:25, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
:::The IA's ''National Geographic'' magazine collection was the first place I looked, and I also found no mention of the April 2013 issue. Then I did an IA Advanced Search specifying "National Geographic" in the title, filtering the year to 2013, and there is was listed as volume 223. —[[User:Bruce1ee|Bruce1ee]][[User talk:Bruce1ee|''talk'']] 08:38, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
