The draft has been declined multiple times. I have already revised the wording to make the tone more neutral, but it was still labeled as containing false information. Could you please review the draft and provide guidance on how to correct the issues and bring it in line with Wikipedia’s requirements? Hello, as a Wikipedia newbie re: creating articles, I would greatly appreciate help with the article for screenwriter Caitlin McCarthy. Is it possible to have the draft name changed from Caitlin McCarthy (activist) to Caitlin McCarthy (screenwriter)? Also, are there too many inline URLs in this article? Lastly, is there info that's more LinkedIn than Wikipedia? I've tried to make this Wikipedia ready but could use your expertise. Thank you! Good day!
The reviewer wrote, "There's a lot of information in here that either isn't supported by the sources, is a synthesis of published work that isn't actually what the sources say, or isn't sourced at all."
Thank you for your work!
I do not find this information helpful for polishing this article to Wikipedia standards. Below is the reference list for this article. I would appreciate it if the reviewer could indicate what information needs to be supported or is incorrectly supported so I can amend it. Thanks!

Hello Wikipedians, I'm kindly asking for advice. Many months ago, I created a draft on the Bihler company (Draft:Otto Bihler Maschinenfabrik). It has since been declined multiple times, but I don't quite understand why. It is said that WP:NCORP is not met. However, in that draft, I have demonstrated, using a source assessment table, why I believe that the Bihler company has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. I know that not every source that I have cited falls within the WP:SIRS criteria, but still, I feel that, the number of sources that do, is sufficient. It would be very helpful to have a second thought on this. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you! @ User:Novem Linguae. -- Casa Coto (talk) 08:37, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
Hello! Good morning to whoever I may be talking to.
Beartown, the book, already has a Wikipedia page and I noticed its sequel doesn't. So I tried to add. But I've never done this before, and I want to make sure everything is alright. I mean, I thought I could add the official synopsis if I gave it the reference, but apparently, I could not. I'm sorry for the trouble with that.
But how can I make sure my draft is alright? Associatte (talk) 14:44, 16 January 2025 (UTC)

:I haven't done a detailed analysis yet, but if other reviewers are still declining it, maybe your source assessment table is being too generous. Do all your sources have 3 meaty paragraphs of detail about the company? Are they independent (i.e. no press releases disguised as articles, no articles that are mostly quotations, no advertorials, etc)? Is at least one of the sources regional, national, or international? These are all things needed to pass WP:NCORP and WP:GNG. See also User:Novem Linguae/Essays/Nuances of GNG and User:Novem Linguae/Essays/Novem's words of wisdom #6. It's been 2 months since you submitted this... if you think it passes, maybe submit it again and add a comment asking for detailed source feedback in the event of a decline. Hope this helps. Good luck. –<span style="color:blue">Novem Linguae</span> <small>(talk)</small> 13:52, 28 August 2025 (UTC)
:A book must be shown to meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable book. Usually that is done by summarizing some reviews of the book written by professional reviewers. :Comments on your assessment table:
:* You list the Hesse source as secondary, but describe it as an encyclopedia. That means it's a tertiary source.
:* You assess four sources in total to meet the criteria of reliable, independent, and significant coverage. Those would be good sources, but...
:* it isn't clear that they provide significant coverage of the company, its products, the punch-bending process, or Otto Bihler himself. Those are four different topics, and this draft is about one topic. For example, the Kolbe source discusses the technology and how the machine works, but what about the company, which is the topic of this draft?

Hello,
I would like to write and article about CircusP, and have a draft in my user sandbox. But before I move it to the <code>Draft:</code> namespace and submit for review, I would like to check if my situation constitutes a WP:COI.

My draft, "Draft:Radio Duhok," has been declined multiple times due to a lack of "in-depth coverage" from reliable, independent sources, according to the last reviewer.
I am a volunteer livestream chat moderator (similar to Internet_forum#Moderators, mostly deleting spam) on CircusP's YouTube and Twitch channels. I don't have any relationship with the subject beyond that. Please let me know if that considered a COI that I should disclose on my user page. Thanks, Susko3 (talk) 17:31, 16 January 2025 (UTC)

I have tried my best to find good sources and have included:
:Yes, since you volunteer on their YouTube, you are associated with them. Simply list the COI on your user page. Ktkvtsh (talk) 21:54, 16 January 2025 (UTC)
1. Two official announcements from the Duhok Governorate's website congratulating the radio on its anniversary.
2. A feature article about the radio in the well-known regional "Gulan Magazine" (Issue 829, 2010), which refers to it as the "authentic voice of the governorate."

Could an experienced editor please take a look at these sources and provide some feedback? I am struggling to understand why these are considered insufficient for notability. Specifically, I would like to know if the Gulan Magazine article is just a "brief mention" and what an example of an "in-depth" source would look like for a subject like this.

:Hello, @CLWwrites. As you may have worked out, writing for an encyclopaedia such as Wikipedia is different from most other kinds of writing. A very very short guide to writing a successful article:
:# Find several sources that are reliable, wholly independent of the subject, and contain significant coverage of the subject. Ignore anything on social media, anything written, published, or commissioned by the subject or their associates, or based on their words (such as interviews and press releases). Ignore anything with less than a couple of paragraphs about the subject specifically (as opposed to, for example, his business).
:# If you have not found a minimum of three such sources, give up: you will be wasting your own and anybody else's time continuing to work on this
:# If you have, forget every single thing you know about the subject and write a neutral summary of what those sources say.
:Congratulations. You now have an acceptable article, which you or others may be able to add to.

::Thank you...a kind and helpful response, I so appreciate that. I realize it's a different style of writing but I thought I had enough independent sources. I'll look at it again. :::Hello, @CLWwrites. Thank you for taking the feedback graciously. Yes, I strongly recommend that you edit other articles, and learn that way about how we do things.
:::Images will not affect whether a draft is accepted or not, so I suggest forgetting about them for the time being. In order to use them eventually, you will need the copyright holders (most likely the photographers) to agree to follow the procedure in WP:donating copyright materials.
:::I haven't looked at your sources, as you haven't linked to them (you are under no obligation to do so - and of course some sources may be offline anyway - but it makes the reviewer's talk easier if you do), but judging from the titles it doesn't sound as if many of them have in-depth coverage of Winter. They might even be enough to make his business notable even if he isn't. ColinFine (talk) 13:34, 17 January 2025 (UTC)
::::Your feedback was a fresh response to one of the first reviewers who said it was the worst article they had ever read and I should refund any money I received. That was a little distressing, let me tell you, so your feedback was refreshing - it was helpful. There are 7 newspapers referenced. Yes, they are mostly about Saint Cinnamon coming to other countries but The Toronto Star is a big one about him. The award for the fastest growing QSR Quick Serve Restaurant was him. Most of the newspapers are not online. I reached out to the publishers, even The Toronto Star article is archived and if I use the link it sends you to a library and you need to set up an account to view it, so I wasn't sure if that would be a good practice. His poem was accepted into the Kennedy Accessions Library and through my inquiry to them, they updated it to be online.
::::So thank you. His business is notable. Over 200 locations globally is quite an accomplishment and he changed how the industry did things.

German: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finestre_sull%E2%80%99Arte
I am requesting assistance with my draft article Draft:Trinity_Private_School. Each word of the text was written manually without the use of AI tools. However, three times I received feedback that the draft was written by AI. I respectfully emphasize that I wrote the article myself, and therefore I ask you to indicate exactly which sentences or parts appear to you as AI-generated.
Spanish: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finestre_sull%27Arte
In addition, I was told that my sources are “not relevant.” Could you please clarify how relevance is determined? For example, The Heritage Private School article was accepted with only one source, while my draft contains 17 independent sources, yet it has not passed review.
French: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Finestre_sull%27Arte
Finally, the article cannot be considered promotional, because it contains no evaluative or laudatory language. I removed all subjective judgments and left only verifiable, encyclopedic content supported by citations.
Given this context, I would appreciate your advice on how to make the English version compliant with the requirements for reliable sources. Are there specific types of references or additional details that I should prioritize?
I would greatly appreciate clear feedback on what exactly prevents the draft from being accepted and what specific improvements are required. Newacctowork (talk) 11:32, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

:@Newacctowork: you will note that the most recent decline, by me, was not for AI but for promotionality and lack of any evidence of notability.
Thank you in advance for your assistance. I look forward to your guidance.
:You then resubmitted the draft without any attempt at addressing those reasons. Why did you do that? Are you disputing my review, or did you think if you keep submitting it will eventually go through by brute force? You only have finite number of chances, so I would suggest you make the most of them.

:::@Newacctowork: you're normally meant to summarise what the sources say. At two years old, this school is basically a startup, and the vast majority of startups are likewise not notable. Any media coverage that may exist is therefore almost by definition likely to originate in the school's marketing team, as is clearly the case with the sources cited in this draft. If the school was a major new initiative or an attempt at educational reform by the gov't of Cyprus, there might be independent mainstream media coverage of it, but here we're talking about a niche private school for a particular group of expats. This is exactly what concerns me: does it comply with Wikipedia rules that a school without media coverage is published, while a school with coverage is not? Hi my article got denied for the reason that it does not qualify for a Wikipedia article due to not having reliable sources. I'm trying to aim for the notability that the album charted in a national music chart, specifically in the Oricon and Billboards charts. I just wanted to make sure that these links count towards reliability and notability under secondary or independent sources
:Hello, @AngelaBishopFoodie
:
:Having said that, I would add that writing about yourself is very strongly discouraged, because very few people are capable of writing about themselves sufficiently dispassionately for Wikipedia. A Wikipedia article should be a summary of what reliable independent sources have published about the subject, nothing less and very little more. Hello, this draft is declined with the reason of notability and unreliable resources. I have several questions regarding the decision:

1) I checked WP:SINGER and WP:BANDMEMBER while writing this draft, and according to those articles, I believe Jongho fulfills the following criteria:

:Hello, @FurretSuperFan. A sales site is almost never acceptable as a source: it is not independent.
- "Has had a single or album on any country's national music chart." --> His solo OST "A Day" charted in Circle and Bugs music chart, and another solo OST "Gravity" charted in Bugs music chart, which are music charts in Korea.
:The Billboard might be reliable, but does not contain significant coverage, as it is just a listing, and I don't think it would count as a secondary source either. Can anyone provide any guidance or input on the latest draft?
Regarding comments on 29 April by editor Paul W, a public media search likely supports relevance/notoriety for Sam Bregman, but that was not established with proper sources and citations.

Earlier entries for Sam Bregman were rejected for relevance, formatting, peacocking and lack of supporting citations. The latest edits attempt to remove problematic text, clean up formatting and citations, comply with tone and informational intentions of Wikipedia entries for public figures, and establish relevance.
Can anyone please help me understand how these do not fulfill the notability criteria?

It may be helpful to compare with the entry for former Las Cruces Mayor, Ken Miyagishima. Intention of latest edition is to create a similar entry for Bregman, with similar tone and proper support material.
2) I used a lot of Korean news article with registered journalists as the cited references. The articles I used also talked about his solo activities, where his name is on the title itself, so it is not just a passing mentions of his name in those articles. Can anyone please point out which references are not suitable for these articles?

:Hello, @Editor x45. None of those four sources you mention is of any relevance.
:A Wikipedia article should be a summary of what reliable sources wholly unconnected with the subject have published about the subject: nothing less, and very little more.
:Sources such as those are either not independent, or contain very little encyclopaedic information about the subject (or both). An article based on what they say will have hardly any content. MOst of the content in your draft is unsourced.
:You need to find places where people journalists, researchers, academics, have written in some depth about Gualtieri. I'm a bit gobsmacked that this has been rejected for lack of "reliable sources." Three New York Times articles, an article from the state historical association, a retrospective by the local ABC news affiliate, an article published in an Abilene newspaper, and a published memoir by one of the group's members are not "reliable?" Hello! I was hoping for feedback about how to improve an article I recently wrote (I'm new to creating Wikipedia pages!). I was looking to make a page for TEDxIndianaUniversity and was referencing some other TEDx event Wikipedia pages out there to understand what should be included (e.g. TEDxSanta Cruz, TEDxTauranga, etc.). From those, I assumed the path to follow was provide information about the organisational history, add references to speakers who were at the events, and cite them with a mix of TED entries and local newspaper reporting. The article received a decline, noting that it needed "sources that are in-depth, reliable, secondary, strictly independent." I guess what I'm wondering is where I should improve on the article draft? I attempted to cite each event with local newspaper articles (IDS News) wherever possible, so I'm not sure if it's related to this or perhaps something else I'm not seeing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated... thank you for all the help! Smilingrubberduckie (talk) 01:51, 18 January 2025 (UTC)

:@Blagi66: AFAIK it's not strictly speaking forbidden to use LLM to draft an article, but it is unadvisable. LLMs can't distinguish between acceptable sources and bad ones, at least not reliably, and are known to hallucinate when they can't find a source or can't reference a statement. They may also introduce copyright violations. And their writing style is not ideal for an encyclopaedia. 1. Tenured Faculty at a Reputable Institution
Dr. Chen is an Associate Professor with tenure at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, a top-ranked academic institution in the United States. Tenure at a major research university often indicates a high level of peer recognition and academic contribution, which aligns with WP:PROF guidelines.

2. Significant Award – PECASE

Dr. Chen is a recipient of the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE). This is one of the most prestigious awards for early-career researchers in the United States, endorsed by the White House. Recipients are chosen for their innovative research and leadership in their fields, and national-level recognition such as the PECASE is frequently considered significant evidence of notability.
Hello, I would like some help understanding why my draft was declined. The reviewer noted that the references do not demonstrate notability and that I need more reliable, independent secondary sources.

In my draft, I cited three independent news articles (Kuwait Times, Madhyamam, and Manorama Online) that directly cover the project. I also cited the official company website for technical details (such as the robot’s specifications and ecosystem), since I couldn’t find those details in news reports.
3. Major Peer-Reviewed Grants and Research Impact
i) Dr. Chen has served as Principal Investigator on multiple NIH-funded R01 grants, including research on care coordination and machine learning in pharmacogenetics.
ii) His work in biomedical informatics, machine learning, and clinical informatics has been cited in a substantial number of peer-reviewed publications, indicating sustained impact within the scientific community.

Could the inclusion of the company website as a supporting source have been the problem? If so, am I allowed to use the website only for factual details (like names of components, patent numbers, etc.) while keeping the news articles as the independent coverage that demonstrates notability?
4. Extensive Publication Record
Dr. Chen has published over 100 scholarly articles, serving as first or senior author on more than 75% of them. Many of these articles appear in leading journals such as the Journal of the American Medical Informatics Association, Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics, and JAMA Network Open. They have been independently cited by numerous researchers, demonstrating influence and recognition within the ___domain.

Any guidance would be much appreciated.
5. Fellow of the American Medical Informatics Association (FAMIA)
This fellowship recognizes individuals who make significant professional contributions to the field of informatics. Dr. Chen’s selection as FAMIA further demonstrates his standing among peers.

Given these points, we respectfully request reconsideration of Dr. Chen’s article. His career milestones—tenure at a top-tier research institution, a prestigious national award (PECASE), multiple NIH R01 grants, and recognized fellowships—underscore that Dr. Chen meets both the WP:PROF criteria and general notability requirements. We have also provided reliable, third-party sources where possible, and we welcome further guidance on any additional references or clarifications needed.

Hi! I am awaiting submission of this biographical article, and despite fixing the initial request from my evaluator, because the article title was "moved" I'm not sure he/she was able to look at the right one. Could someone please ensure everything is ok? I believe it is ready for publishing Asf132 (talk) 01:00, 2 September 2025 (UTC)

:I also would like to add that I do not believe that my previous evaluator speaks/understands English proficiently, as evidenced by the language used on their "talk" page and does not grasp the magnitude of the content covered by the professionally written secondary-sourced articles (Bloomberg, Business Insider, Fortune, etc.), which was in this case is covering a once multi-billion-dollar company's CEO.. ::::The issue in question when I spoke to the reviewer "Như Gây Mê" was a lack of notability, but it seems even by the most pessimistic metric of evaluation the subject would qualify under Wikipedia's standards. The reviewer replied to me in broken English without sufficiently providing an explanation for their evaluation: "Hi, I think this is not the right time for me to publish your article, the information is still too little to show the notability of the subject." So I'm asking for another staff member to evaluate the notability requirements of the individual/the article and if they do indeed suffice then I believe that yes, the article should be published based on that being the "issue" of the article. If that "asks" for a faster review, then I guess that's the answer? But it was more of a prior concern with how this requirement was being evaluated.
::::Thank you! Asf132 (talk) 05:26, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::You have resubmitted the draft, and will therefore get a 'second opinion' in due course once a reviewer gets around to assessing it. We don't provide on-demand reviews here at the help desk.
:::::I have no comment to make regarding another reviewer's command of English; nor should you, in my opinion. ::::::Ok, got it. I also just received your message about managing a conflict of interest, and I would like to let you know that there is no personal or professional connection to my subject. I have studied the subject independently through my own research in the last half-decade as his company was rising and falling. This should be clearly evidenced by my neutrality throughout my draft, which highlights both his professional accomplishments as well as evidence that he played a significant role in the eventual bankruptcy of his company. :::::::Unusually (for me), I reviewed the draft you refer to, and also had to decline it for lack of evidence of notability. ::::::::::Actually, there were an additional two sources added (one of which was to provide a source for the year, which I will concede is not secondary)) and the other was the Forbes article that was added in with new content (which would count as secondary). Only the second mention of the Business Insider article source was swapped for an equivalent one that aimed to resolve your issue earlier about how it was cited twice (which is what you were referring to, unless you did not see my latest edits). First thank you for the explanation for the article's rejection. I only partially used a language model as I used it to make sure the language I was writing fit into the criteria for submission. I might be premature in starting a page here as I'm likely not famous enough or have as much public notoriety as needed. I don't go out and seek publicity so being famous wasn't the goal. BUT the things I've been involved with are well-known. Curb Records, Roger Daltrey, the film Voyage of the Rock Aliens with Ruth Gordon. Jennifer Nettles and Christian Bush, Richard Marx aren't random people. I apologize for attempting to write it myself. I worked hard on it. I'll likely just delete it. The help desk btw was pretty rude. And I don't know if Theroadislong works for you but he's a jerk and can't spell encyclopedia.
Thanks so much.

Hello, and thank you for you time. I believe the article I have submitted meets wikipedias guideline under General Notability, And Notability under Wikipedia guidelines for (Musicians & Enables). It has been properly sourced with numerous independent references independent of the subject. I may have unintentionally ruffled a few feathers, On December 28th I was contacted by the user DoubleGrazing on my talk page about a possible conflict of Interest. After disputing the claim I asked him about what I felt was a snide comment towards me on the Admins LIZ's talk page. He said he did not like my Shirty response. Another user Buster D who seems to be following my every move entered the conversation and told me to lash out at my peril. "Lash out at your peril. BusterD (talk) 08:57, 29 December 2024" , Since then I believe I have been targeted by a circle of editors.

It was immediately declined by, the User Theroadislong (Who appears not be versed in what is considered sources of notability in the genre of Hip Hop Music). I started a topic on Theroadislong's talk page entitled "Who Sent Yah" in reference to my draft articles decline. The comment made during the conversation by Theroadislong' to DoubleGrazing showed they were clearly in cahoots on the articles decline, with Theroadislong to DoubleGrazing" Heh! :) DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:07, 30 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]and now they are blocked as a sock of User:Edward Myer. Here’s how we can help:

• Revise and rework your content to meet Wikipedia’s strict guidelines.
Hello, I noticed the article on APAC Tower was rejected for notability. I would like guidance on whether the coverage I have from independent sources is sufficient, or what additional sources would be needed.
• Ensure proper citations from credible sources.
• Provide a 100% guarantee of successful placement on Wikipedia.

I have few questions.
If you’re ready to establish your presence on Wikipedia, let’s get started. Reply to this email, and we’ll guide you through the next steps.
1. Do the awards (Fitwel 3-Star 2025, Thailand Property Award) count as notable recognition for the building?
2. Do independent news reports from Bangkok Biz News, RE Talk Asia, and AustCham Thailand establish enough secondary coverage?
3. Would mentioning prominent multinational tenants (Asia Pulp & Paper, Mazda Sales, TOA Electronics) help demonstrate significance?

Thank you, Kay3233 (talk) 13:45, 2 September 2025 (UTC)

My article was rejected twice for reasons I feel dont align with the wiki guidelines used to reject my page. It was firstly rejected for being an unacceptable fork however based off the fork wiki page the topic assassination of Mohammed Ghori was acceptable as it was to develop from a sub-topic in which the examples given by the fork wiki (Death of Michael Jackson forking from the Michael Jackson wiki) matches with mine. However it was then rejected a second time for supposedly not being notable which does not make sense in my opinion. Mohammed Ghori was the founder and the first emperor of the Ghorid Empire of central asia. Furthermore based off of the wiki notability guidelines a topic is considered notable if the topic recieves coverage in reliable sources, which it has been. The topic has been notably discussed in many reliable medieval historical texts by independant third party historical authors such as by Minhaj-i-Siraj Juzjani, Firishta, Ibn al-athir, the Tarikh-i-alfi which was commissioned by the Mughal emperor Akbar and the Jami al-Tawarikh produced in the Mongol Ilkhanate with signiifcant mention, which leads me to believe it was wrongly rejected twice. Modern day authors such as VD Mahajan, sir henry Miers Elliot among many others refer to his death also, so this rejection should kindly be reconsidered.

Kind regards Zenithxxx (talk) 17:38, 19 January 2025 (UTC)

I am a little frustrated by continued rejection of this article. In today's edited version, I tried to remove as much as so called peacock terms. I have also added numerous references. Ultimately, this is about of the leading journalists from Sri Lanka who does not have a wikipedia page yet. I would appreciate your assistance. :Hi @Sliyanage1967, the entirety of:
:"Deshapriya’s most recent work, Easter Sunday Attacks in Sri Lanka: Shadow of the Deep State and Unanswered Questions, delves into the tragic and unprecedented events of 2019 Sri Lanka Easter Bombings, which targeted churches and hotels, resulting in over 250 deaths. This book examines the complex web of political intrigue and intelligence failures surrounding the attacks. Deshapriya investigates not only the immediate aftermath but also the larger, unresolved questions regarding the involvement of Sri Lanka's shadowy "deep state" and the failure of authorities to prevent such a catastrophic event. Through this work, Deshapriya highlights the systemic issues that contributed to the tragedy and urges a critical examination of Sri Lanka's political and security landscape."

Hi, Greetings to you, and first of all, thank you for your assistance. I’ve been facing some challenges recently as I’ve been trying to find sources digitally, but unfortunately, many of them are unavailable. However, I do have access to some physical references, such as newspaper articles and similar materials from the early 2000s. The issue is that I’m unsure where to find these articles online since they were from a time when the digital landscape was just beginning to evolve. Additionally, I’m wondering if the physical articles I have could be of any help in this process. Would you recommend any particular approach for utilizing these resources, or should I focus on finding alternative digital sources instead? In short, could you please guide me on how to find reliable sources from that period? I truly appreciate your time and help with this. Thank you! Editorseditor15 (talk) 13:49, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

:Hi @Editorseditor15. The good news is that sources don't have to be online: you can use offline published sources (such as a newspaper article). As long as you provide a full reference to allow a reader to go to a library or archive and view the source if they so wish, then you can use an offline source.
:Regarding your draft, you right now have two styles of references and a long list of external links. You'll want to follow the referencing tutorial at WP:INTREFVE so you only have a single Reference List, with every reference being an in-line citation to the text it is supporting. In a biographic article it is mandatory that every piece of information has a reference with an in-line citation next to the information it is sourcing. Also remove most of the external links (see WP:EXTERNAL for our policy). <span style="background-color: RoyalBlue; border-radius: 1em; padding: 3px 3px 3px 3px;"><span style="color: GhostWhite">qcne</span> <small><span style="color: GhostWhite">(talk)</span></small></span> 13:54, 20 January 2025 (UTC)

:@JOien: you need to demonstrate, with reliable evidence, that this person meets one or more of the criteria enumerated at WP:NACADEMIC.
:Also, although it wasn't a reason for declining, I noticed that the draft is quite poorly referenced, with a lot of information that is not supported by citations. Articles on living people (WP:BLP) have especially strict referencing requirements, with pretty much every material statement you make needing an inline citation to a reliable source to support it. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 14:59, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
::Thank you very much for this. I was wondering what to do if there is not a good source for referencing awards, memberships, grant funding etc, what should I do? This has been very helpful! JOien (talk) 15:02, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
:::@JOien: let me turn that around and ask you how you know about those things? Whatever your source for that information is, that's what you should be citing (assuming it's a published source and not hearsay etc.).
:::Ultimately, anything that cannot be backed up by a reliable published source must be removed. :@Raskuly: in the past football players could qualify under a special notability guideline (WP:FOOTY, as it was) if they had played at a certain level, but this provision was removed some years ago. Thank you so much for your feedback on my article. I really want to improve it so it can be acceptable in Wikipedia´s terms. Would you help me with that?
- When you say it´s more like an essay than a Wikipedia article, what do you mean? Which are the criteria for a Wikipedia article that this does not meet and thus makes it an essay?
- 25 selected publications it´s not appropriate. He has approximately 200 publications, how many would be appropriate?
- References were included, except for the personal stuff which honestly, I just know them because it´s a very small country but I have no written source for that. Should I exclude that?
- Any other amendment your think I should do to get the article approved?

The given source is a Nobel Prize winner's autobiography. I'm a scientist and rarely edit - and will let this drop (due to lack of time).

The person (Grady) is far more important than most scientists on Wikipedia, and the issue with Kariko (discoverer of mRNA vaccines) is one of the biggest issues in science - valuing bureaucracy and grant money over the search for truth.
