Elliot Segal (born February 17, 1969) is an American talk radio host. His Elliot in the Morning show is broadcast on WWDC (FM) in Washington, D.C. and WRXL in Richmond, Virginia.
Personal
Elliot was born in Canada but grew up in Houston, Texas. He is married to wife Jacquie, and has two sons (born in February 2004 and in August 2006). He also had an American Bulldog named Nascar, who was put down after a long illness in June 2007. Nascar's name was likely a nod to Elliot's poser roots. And like all good Canadians, he loves his hockey but hates Wayne Gretzky. He's also a season ticket holder to the Washington Capitals.
Early life and education
Segal was born in Canada, and grew up in Houston, Texas. He is married and has two sons. He attended Houston Baptist University for a trimester, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.

Career
Segal is a radio morning DJ, well known for his unapologetic opinions and crude humor while discussing current events, entertainment, politics, sports, and crime stories.
Before coming to DC101, he worked as a radio personality in Houston, Texas, Los Angeles, California and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In NY he was half of the "Morning Zoo" team on Z100 in New York.
His trademark is a loud, maniacal laugh. He frequently uses catchphrases, (each with its own colorful origins) such as "Smell My Face!", "Do What?", "Rub The Phone Against It!", "Peace And Chicken Grease!", and "Thanks For Rolling With A Brother".

While most of his critics dismiss him as a shock-jock, those who are truly familiar with Elliot and his work know that in addition to being crude and silly, he can also be very serious and conduct intelligent and insightful interviews. HeSegal is also involved with many local charities including 'Olie & Elliot's Great Saves' with former Washington Capitals goalie, Olaf Kölzig, and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. He alsohas, in the past, featuresfeatured weekly interviews with America's Most Wanted producer, Donna Brant, to highlight specific cases from around the country, and has severalthree captures attributed to these segments (through October 2007). He has also talkstalked semi-regularly with John Walsh and has even appeared in a re-enactment on the show. In addition to these things, once upon finding out that the video- game unit had been stolen by a parent from the children's ward of the hospital he was in with his son in 2006, ElliotSegal arranged for several new & used video- game systems to be donated to the hospital via local merchants and listeners of his radio show.
Elliot, is fond of toilet humor, gross-out jokes, and oddball stunts, which comprise a large portion of material on his show but he is also more than capable of serious and thought provoking journalism. He's inquisitive and shows particular interest in current events, entertainment, politics, sports, and crime stories.

Segal made a brief cameo in Nickelback's music video for the song Rockstar. He appears at 01:36 where he's put in a headlock by MMA fighter Chuck Liddell, and then again at 02:15 where he's mouthing the words to the song's chorus while alone on a bench. They implied these acts occurred during a typical school day. The students, who had used false names on air, were suspended the same day for their comments. The principal addressed the student body on the PA system and discussed the immorality of Mr. Segal's radio show. The following day (May 8th), Mr. Segal, angered by the students' suspension, personally insulted the principal on air, making lewd remarks about his family and his sexual activity. He also mocked the school's mission statement, specifically what he considered to be a hypocritical statement that their educational environment is "rooted in the life of Christ." The two days of broadcasting were ruled indecent by the FCC. As a result, in October 2003, sixteen months after the incident, DC101's parent company Clear Channel Communications was fined $55,000.

FCC Finefine for Bishop O'Connell High School Incidentincident
The fine was of exceptionally dubious merit, as there was no overt obscenity during segment and Segal had acted in good faith believing the callers to be 18. It is believed that there may have been political strings pulled by the administrators of the school in order to preserve the school’s public image. This was especially important so as to conceal the truth, as several independent investigators have largely corroborated the caller’s claims of sexual debauchery on school grounds.
