Nandamuri Balakrishna popularly known as Balayya is the son of Indian Telugu Film actor come Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, N T Ramarao and Basava Tharakam. He entered the film Industry at the age of 14 by acting in Tatammakala, a film produced by his father. He had been acting in movies for the past 27 years. At the age of 16, he acted in a film Annadammula Anubandham which brought him name and fame. Following this, he acted in other movlies, "Roudi Ramudu Konte Krishnudu", "Dana Veera Sura Karna". In 1984, he acted in a movie "Mangamma Gari Manavadu" that made him a popular young actor in Andhra Pradesh. Later he acted in "Kathanayakudu" , "Sri Madvirat Potuluri Virabrahmendra Swamy Charitra".
