הסיבה העיקרית לכך שהסקר הוא שנתי, הואהיא כדימשום לכלולשכך ישתתפו בו כמה יותר אנשים! יותר אנשים מכירים את הצוות ואת הסקר, ולאחר שנה שבה הושלמו הרבה מהבקשות שדורגו ראשונות, אנחנו מצפים שאנשים יתעניינו יותר וישתתפו יותר. אנחנו רוצים לאפשר לכולם להביא רעיונות חדשים.

אנחנו גם רוצים לוודא שרעיונות ישנים עדיין רצויים. ככל שהתוכנה מתפתחת, כך גם צרכי המשתמש. לפעמים הצעה טובה באמת משנה שעברה כבר לא כל כך חשובה, או שהתיאור פשוט התיישן. עריכת הסקר מדי שנה עוזרת לאשר מחדש את מה שהקהילה זקוקה לו.

We also want to make sure that older ideas are still wanted. As software evolves, so do the user’s needs. Sometimes a really good wish from last year isn’t so important anymore, or the description has simply become outdated. Conducting the survey annually helps reconfirm what the community needs.
