After a series of posts disagreeing with the decision of a few to give up WP's political independence with the Italian lockdown in early October 2011 (paradoxically with the pretext of defending its neutrality), users who didn't like these disagreements started running out of arguments, censoring and protecting discussion pages, and blocking dissenters, tarring them variously as trolls, socks, kids, newbies, etc.▼

|comment = No action requested, no action needed. Moreover, Meta is not the place for first "appeal" to block and protections, and the user has not used any of the processes in place on it.wiki. General discussion happens on Wikimedia Forum/Italian Wikipedia.

: Thank you for reporting this. Wikimedia, keep an eye on what is happening! This event of clear censorship as well as the (temporary) obscuring of the entire it.wiki by a small "court of autarchs" is unacceptable. Below the translation of my comment, which they censored with the reason: "I just blushed a little bit" (how is that even a reason for censoring a comment?). The user above restored it (reason: "no censorship, please"), and because of that he was called a "troll" and banned, while the page was locked to prevent further comments (reason: "that's enough").

: Well, that's it. I really didn't mean to start anything, nor I do have time to discuss this, but someone who has the time and the authority should. Freedom is so precious and so delicate...like a soft rose blooming to the first rays of the Spring morning sun...how could I watch it get mistreated and not say anything!

What exactly is this RfC supposed to accomplish? What are you asking for? Seb az86556 07:29, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
:Indeed. He's just misunderstood a suggestion on en.wiki. I'm closing it, while the discussion on the strike can continue on Wikimedia Forum/Italian Wikipedia. Reopen when/if you have something relevant to ask.
