Bat Out of Hell III: The Last at Bat is going to be the third in a "series" of albums composed and written by Jim Steinman and performed by Meat Loaf. It comes after Bat Out of Hell and Bat Out of Hell II: Back into Hell, and is due for release in September 2006. It will be produced by Desmond Child.

Current information says that Jim Steinman doesn't have anything to do with this project, so it's unknown whether or not the album will have any songs written by him, but at a 2005 concert in Jones Beach, NY, Meat Loaf sang a previously unreleased song which he credited to Steinman, to appear on an album matching this title. Also, in a concert in Durham, NH, he attributed this number to "Jim" and stated he would be working with "Jim" on the new album.
