According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the township has a total area of 12648.3 [[8&nbsp;square kilometer|km²]]miles (48126.83&nbsp;km²), [[squareof mile|mi²]]).which 12548.4&nbsp;square km²miles (48125.4 mi²&nbsp;km²) of it is land and 0.94&nbsp;square km²mile (0.4 mi²9&nbsp;km²) of it is water. The total area is (0.74%) is water.

Middlebury Township is bordered by [[Farmington Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania|Farmington Township]] to the north, [[Tioga Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania|Tioga]] and [[Richmond Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania|Richmond Township]]s to the east, [[Charleston Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania|Charleston]] and [[Delmar Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania|Delmar Township]] to the south and [[Chatham Township, Tioga County, Pennsylvania|Chatham Township]] to the west.

There were 606 housing units at an average density of 4.8/km² (12.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the township was 98.44% [[White (U.S. Census)|White]], 0.00% [[African American (U.S. Census)|African American]], 0.08% [[Native American (U.S. Census)|Native American]], 0.16% [[Asian (U.S. Census)|Asian]], 0.00% [[Pacific Islander (U.S. Census)|Pacific Islander]], 0.90% from [[Race (U.S. Census)|other races]], and 0.41% from two or more races. 0.82% of the population were [[Hispanic (U.S. Census)|Hispanic]] or [[Latino (U.S. Census)|Latino]] of any race.
