The '''heartagram''' is a [[trademark]]ed symbol of [[Finland|Finnish]] rock band [[HIM (band)|HIM]]. It is the fusion of a [[heart]] symbol and a [[pentagram]].
According to H.I.M. front man, [[Ville Valo]], the heartagram represents both [[love]] and [[death]]. The [[balance]] of [[hate]] and [[love]], the two main [[theme]]s in life, is a common theme in Valo's lyrics. The symbol is sported as a tattoo by many HIM fans, including professional skater and [[Jackass (TV series)]] stuntman [[Bam Margera]], who has his own TV program ([[Viva la Bam]] on [[MTV2]]). Margera occasionaly sports the symbol as his own symbol. Fans use the heartagram to represent both HIM and Bam Margera.
It is wrongly believed by some people that the heartagram is associated with [[satanism]], but [[Ville Valo]] denies these claims.
