I looked at the Barcelona football seasons for which you added {{tlx|Futbol box plegable}} (and some other seasons after). They could do with {{tlx|cleanup-translation|ca|3=listed=no}}, really. (I don't think it's worth listing at [[WP:PNT]], but this should put them in view of {{tlx|WikiProject Catalonia}} one way or another, or if not that could be added to their talk pages). I don't want to do it myself (a) because I am lazy and (b) because I know nothing about football and would probably make translation mistakes. == Bumpy ride ==
Thank you for your kind note. Well, guess what? I just found out yesterday that the bumpy ride is not over yet! After I received the positive note from "Permission" somebody else deleted that picture. After I explained again a lot it was reinstated today. However, meanwhile I received other warnings that other files will be deleted; while at the same time I was receiving Emails from "Permissions" that they have taken care of those pictures! Apparently the warnings happened because of "redundancy", and I think that happened when I sent to "permission" the forms they requested. I again explained a lot and I hope those other 3 pictures will not be deleted. I will know tomorrow morning. Thank you again, and please keep in touch.

Originally I thought this was not allowed, drafting non-English articles in the English Wikipedia. Here I am again after a long time of silence, I hope everything is OK with you; I am immersed in preparing for my classes, it seems to never end! Of course I again need advice and help. I probably mentioned before that by now the bio of Blatt is available on the Romanian Wikipedia. However, it still has no pictures. I am being advised, that instead inserting the pictures that have been already inserted by myself, as I did in the past, I should wait until they are transferred into Wikipedia Commons (if that is indeed correct) and after that I should insert them into the Romanian text, in order to avoid confusions. However, it seems to never happen. Out of all the pictures, ironically, it seems that only the picture of Marta Blatt is now on Wikimedia Commons.. My question is: is it any manner to expedite the transfer of licensed accepted pictures into Wikimedia Commons? or should I just insert them myself as I did in the past on the English Wikipedia? I sent this questions also to Yngvadottir because sometimes in the past you worked together on my issues. Looking forward to your answer, thank you very much.

I'll also try to look into the others. (I tried authorizing a tool to automatically move images for me, but it keeps giving me token errors when I try to sign up, so I'll wait and try again. Before this, I've only moved images I created myself, manually.) :I'm sorry I didn't write earlier. I was afraid it looked bleak that I became inactive at about the same time that Yngvadottir left, but it's normal for me to edit less, this time of year. I'm just very busy. I didn't make one edit during all of May, last year, and made a total of 3 edits during April and May the year before that. I was hoping to squeeze some Wikipedia in, but it gets crazy fast.

Hi, this is gonna be a little out of the left field but a couple years ago you volunteered to write some scripts for the [[Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Citizendium_Porting/Archive_1#Per_instructions...|Citizendium porting project]]. Did anything come out of that? I've been involved with [[Wikivoyage]] of late and was looking for tools that could be used to compare both WV's and [[Wikitravel]]'s databases (though Wikitravel doesn't release DB dumps, it would have to be live). Get a list of articles we're missing. Also something like [[Special:ComparePages]] that worked with external pages. Do you know if anything similar exists? And if not, are they within the realm of possibility? :). I'm not asking you to do it by the way, I'll make a request at the technical boards, just wanted to avoid duplication in case you had already done the work and get a bearing if it's actually possible. :[[User:Acer|Acer]], Wikitravel has [http://wikitravel.org/wiki/en/api.php the API], which can [http://wikitravel.org/wiki/en/api.php?action=help&modules=query%2Ballpages retrieve lists of pages]. This method has some limitations that database dumps don't, but it usually gives the most recent information. To save bandwidth and server time, efficiency is more important for large queries. (After running through the file list once, an updating run may be more efficient if it only checks new page titles.) The titles could be compared with Wikivoyage's database, or even via its API. Other general tools for the API, such as a page comparison script, could probably be modified to work between these two wikis. == Global templates ==
Hi!
I see that you were one of the people who supported the [[:meta:Global-Wiki|Global-Wiki]] idea on Meta. It was closed as "consensus", but it's far from being fully implemented. We did get global personal JS and CSS, global user pages, and global preferences, and all of this is excellent. However, we still don't have Global templates, and this is the most important thing.
I am trying to reboot the Global templates project. It's ambitious, but I am trying to make it focused on only templates and modules, and to break it up further into manageable and doable parts.
I wrote this similar proposal: [[:mw:Global templates]] is the introduction, there are more details in [[:mw:Global templates/Proposed specification, short version]], and even more details in [[:mw:Global templates/Proposed specification]].
This proposal is a little smaller in scope than [[:meta:Global-Wiki]], but I have reasons to think that in this format it has a better chance of actually getting implemented.

In [[:mw:Global templates/Proposed specification, short version|the short version]] of the proposal I wrote: "Each editors community will keep its independence to maintain local templates and to make local changes to global templates’ functionality and the information they present to readers." In [[:mw:Global templates/Proposed specification|the long version]] it is described in the sections "It must be possible to make some templates non-global" and "It must be possible to override some functionality or appearance of a global template". I am very interested in knowing whether the way I wrote it there makes sense to you.
