Isidor Irving Litwack nacque in [[Ucraina]], ai tempi dell'impero[[Impero russo]]. Lasciò da bambino l'Europa, imbarcandosi per l'America, dove crebbe e studiò, prima in [[Canada]] e poi a [[New York]].
