L'La '''linea IRT Flushing''' è una linea ferroviaria della [[metropolitana di New York]]. Fa parte della A[[Divisione DivisionA]], e si estende dal [[Flushing (New York)|Flushing]], nel [[Queens]], a [[TimesHudson SquareYards]], a [[Manhattan]].

Prima che la linea fosse prolungata fino a [[Flushing (New York)|Flushing]] era anche conosiuctaconosciuta come linea Corona o linea Woodside and Corona. Inoltre prima della cessazione del servizio della Brooklyn–Manhattan[[Brooklyn-Manhattan Transit Corporation]], avvenuto nel 1949, la parte della linea tra [[Times Square-42nd Street/Port Authority Bus Terminal|Times Square]] e [[Queensboro Plaza]] era conosciuto come linea Queensboro.

== Caratteristiche ==

I treni del servizio espresso viaggiano verso Manhattan dalle 06:00 alle 10:00 e partono da Manhattan dalle 15:00 alle 21:30. Il servizio espresso vieni inoltre implementato durante le partite dei [[New York Mets]] e degli [[US Open (tennis)|US Open]].

La linea IRT Flushing possiede diversi stili architettonici, che vanno da ferrovie sopraelevate, costruite con travi in acciaio, a viadotti in cemento in stile europeo. Anche le stazioni hanno diversi stili, per esempio la stazione Hunters Point Avenue ha uno [[Architettura italiana|stile italiano]] mentre la stazione [[Grand Central-42nd Street]] è costruita in un'unica galleria come quelle della [[metropolitana di Londra]].
