Hi editors, just wanted to ask what I can do to improve my draft and write it in a way that is aligned with Wikipedia's guide and tone. Thank you! IanResearch (talk) 03:12, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

:The draft just tells of the offerings and activities of the company; a Wikipedia article must do more, it must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the company, showing how it meets the special Wikipedia definition of a notable company.
:The awards are meaningless towards establishing notability; for an award to contribute to notability, it must itself merit an article(like Nobel Peace Prize or Academy Award). 331dot (talk) 06:59, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

The company, whom this page is about, is a major property developer in Bangalore India. With over 50 properties to date. I was going to expand on this with more information from more sources when i found them, but it was removed before i had the chance. I think this is notable enough to be included on wikipedia, as their direct competitors such as Sobha Ltd. have a page of their own.

The draft has been declined multiple times. I have already revised the wording to make the tone more neutral, but it was still labeled as containing false information. Could you please review the draft and provide guidance on how to correct the issues and bring it in line with Wikipedia’s requirements?
Hello Wikipedians, I'm kindly asking for advice. Many months ago, I created a draft on the Bihler company (Draft:Otto Bihler Maschinenfabrik). It has since been declined multiple times, but I don't quite understand why. It is said that WP:NCORP is not met. However, in that draft, I have demonstrated, using a source assessment table, why I believe that the Bihler company has been the subject of significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources. I know that not every source that I have cited falls within the WP:SIRS criteria, but still, I feel that, the number of sources that do, is sufficient. It would be very helpful to have a second thought on this. Any advice is very much appreciated. Thank you! @ User:Novem Linguae. -- Casa Coto (talk) 08:37, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

:I haven't done a detailed analysis yet, but if other reviewers are still declining it, maybe your source assessment table is being too generous. Do all your sources have 3 meaty paragraphs of detail about the company? Are they independent (i.e. no press releases disguised as articles, no articles that are mostly quotations, no advertorials, etc)? Is at least one of the sources regional, national, or international? These are all things needed to pass WP:NCORP and WP:GNG. See also User:Novem Linguae/Essays/Nuances of GNG and User:Novem Linguae/Essays/Novem's words of wisdom #6. It's been 2 months since you submitted this... if you think it passes, maybe submit it again and add a comment asking for detailed source feedback in the event of a decline. Hope this helps. Good luck. –<span style="color:blue">Novem Linguae</span> <small>(talk)</small> 13:52, 28 August 2025 (UTC)

Hi, I have a question about the declined draft of my article. The reviewer said that there are not enough independet sources to prove that the article is relevant. In his opionion the mentioned sources are rather like advertisement for the company. In the German wikipedia the same article was accepted. Could you help me plesae to improve the content so that the article will be published? Thanks in advance.
:* it isn't clear that they provide significant coverage of the company, its products, the punch-bending process, or Otto Bihler himself. Those are four different topics, and this draft is about one topic. For example, the Kolbe source discusses the technology and how the machine works, but what about the company, which is the topic of this draft?

Hi,

14:57, 28 August 2025 review of submission by Aras2025
I submitted this page yesterday, and it got rejected for not passing the NCORP criteria. I'm wondering how I could improve that, because the sources used (I think) are independent and reliable.

In addition, the person reviewing said it was "somewhat promotional". But in comparison to another company in the same industry (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zimperium) I can't really tell where I'm promotional.
Hello,

My draft, "Draft:Radio Duhok," has been declined multiple times due to a lack of "in-depth coverage" from reliable, independent sources, according to the last reviewer.
Thanks for the help

I have tried my best to find good sources and have included:
09:50:08, 29 March 2019 review of submission by 43.231.57.160
1. Two official announcements from the Duhok Governorate's website congratulating the radio on its anniversary.
{{Lafc|username=43.231.57.160|ts=09:50:08, 29 March 2019|page=
2. A feature article about the radio in the well-known regional "Gulan Magazine" (Issue 829, 2010), which refers to it as the "authentic voice of the governorate."

Could an experienced editor please take a look at these sources and provide some feedback? I am struggling to understand why these are considered insufficient for notability. Specifically, I would like to know if the Gulan Magazine article is just a "brief mention" and what an example of an "in-depth" source would look like for a subject like this.

He drowned in a boating accident this weekend. He was a guest menace in a few episodes of Burn Notice (no media source for that, but he posted it on his socials and if you watch the episodes you can see him plain as day).
I am requesting assistance with my draft article Draft:Trinity_Private_School. Each word of the text was written manually without the use of AI tools. However, three times I received feedback that the draft was written by AI. I respectfully emphasize that I wrote the article myself, and therefore I ask you to indicate exactly which sentences or parts appear to you as AI-generated.
In addition, I was told that my sources are “not relevant.” Could you please clarify how relevance is determined? For example, The Heritage Private School article was accepted with only one source, while my draft contains 17 independent sources, yet it has not passed review.
Finally, the article cannot be considered promotional, because it contains no evaluative or laudatory language. I removed all subjective judgments and left only verifiable, encyclopedic content supported by citations.
I would greatly appreciate clear feedback on what exactly prevents the draft from being accepted and what specific improvements are required. Newacctowork (talk) 11:32, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

:@Newacctowork: you will note that the most recent decline, by me, was not for AI but for promotionality and lack of any evidence of notability.
March 30
:You then resubmitted the draft without any attempt at addressing those reasons. Why did you do that? Are you disputing my review, or did you think if you keep submitting it will eventually go through by brute force? You only have finite number of chances, so I would suggest you make the most of them.
:And yes, The Heritage Private School is even weaker in terms of sourcing (in that, it has none), and I have tagged it accordingly. That doesn't mean we should create more insufficiently sourced articles, though. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:04, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
::@DoubleGrazing No, I submitted it by accident. Could you please clarify what exactly needs to be fixed? I have already removed most of the adjectives that could make the text appear promotional. What further steps should I take? How can I rewrite it so that it reads as neutral, rather than advertising? Newacctowork (talk) 12:26, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
:::@Newacctowork: you're normally meant to summarise what the sources say. But on this occasion, those sources are just churnalism etc., therefore summarising them will only ever result in a promotional draft. So you should go back to square one and look for sources that are entirely independent of the subject (meaning no interviews, press releases, advertorials, sponsored content, etc.) and base your draft on them. Personally, I doubt you will find such sources, but nothing to stop you trying. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 12:40, 29 August 2025 (UTC)

:::::@Newacctowork: don't concern yourself with any other articles that may exist, we're talking about whether your draft can be accepted; WP:OTHERSTUFFEXISTS is invariably a red herring.
:::::The long and short of it is that the vast majority of schools are not notable enough to justify an article. At two years old, this school is basically a startup, and the vast majority of startups are likewise not notable. Any media coverage that may exist is therefore almost by definition likely to originate in the school's marketing team, as is clearly the case with the sources cited in this draft. If the school was a major new initiative or an attempt at educational reform by the gov't of Cyprus, there might be independent mainstream media coverage of it, but here we're talking about a niche private school for a particular group of expats. As I said, you're welcome to search for better sources, but I wouldn't hold my breath. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 13:01, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
::::::@DoubleGrazing "No, we are just talking about other articles. When I take another article as a reference, I see that it has far fewer sources than mine, yet it passed. Can this be considered a biased approach? What does the marketing team have to do with it, if there is no link to any commercial offer and not a single word about cost? This is exactly what concerns me: does it comply with Wikipedia rules that a school without media coverage is published, while a school with coverage is not? For Cyprus, these media are public and authoritative. For comparison, my house has also stood since 1987. There are no publications about it — can I publish an article about it without coverage, as others did? Hi my article got denied for the reason that it does not qualify for a Wikipedia article due to not having reliable sources. I'm trying to aim for the notability that the album charted in a national music chart, specifically in the Oricon and Billboards charts. I just wanted to make sure that these links count towards reliability and notability under secondary or independent sources

Hi, my very first article on the en_wikipedia was just declined as it appears to "read more like an advertisement". The review didn't go into details about which sentences or paraphrases need to be re-written so I'd like to have some help here. I tried to include different sources and make the article as neutral as possible. I didn't include any (negative) critics because I didn't really find one. As to my motivation for this article; I listen to her music and was looking for a Wikipedia article but didn't find one so I decided to start one. I contacted the management of her during the article process but ask them to not intervene with the article writing.

Can anyone provide any guidance or input on the latest draft?
Regarding comments on 29 April by editor Paul W, a public media search likely supports relevance/notoriety for Sam Bregman, but that was not established with proper sources and citations.

Earlier entries for Sam Bregman were rejected for relevance, formatting, peacocking and lack of supporting citations. The latest edits attempt to remove problematic text, clean up formatting and citations, comply with tone and informational intentions of Wikipedia entries for public figures, and establish relevance.

It may be helpful to compare with the entry for former Las Cruces Mayor, Ken Miyagishima. Intention of latest edition is to create a similar entry for Bregman, with similar tone and proper support material.

Hello, I’m seeking feedback on Draft:Gerald P. Curatola, which was previously declined for formatting and sourcing issues. I have now:

* Rewritten in neutral prose.
Why Zee Keralam page has been rejected? Zee Keralam is a newly launched Malayalam language television channel in India. But in Wikipedia, no page are alloted for Zee Keralam. Kindly reconsider it.
* Replaced weak/self-published links with strong independent sources (Forbes, Miami Herald, Vogue, New York Post, Purist, Yahoo).
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Zee_Keralam
* Corrected citations (ISBN for book, Vogue link, NYU Nexus PDFs confirming Acton Medal and Curatola Wing).
* Removed Markdown formatting that triggered the last decline.

Could someone review and let me know if the draft now appears ready for resubmission?

If deemed suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia, who should write the article? Obviously my daughter, as a journalist, could do a good job, but also obviously she has a major CoI.

:Don't write articles WP:BACKWARD, which is what you are doing. You should find sources first, before you write a single word. Hello, I would like some help understanding why my draft was declined. The reviewer noted that the references do not demonstrate notability and that I need more reliable, independent secondary sources.

In my draft, I cited three independent news articles (Kuwait Times, Madhyamam, and Manorama Online) that directly cover the project. I also cited the official company website for technical details (such as the robot’s specifications and ecosystem), since I couldn’t find those details in news reports.
Hazel2398454 (talk) 19:56, 31 March 2019 (UTC)

Could the inclusion of the company website as a supporting source have been the problem? If so, am I allowed to use the website only for factual details (like names of components, patent numbers, etc.) while keeping the news articles as the independent coverage that demonstrates notability?

:::@Asf132: sorry, can you please clarify your question – are you just wanting to fast track your draft's review? -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:21, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
::::The issue in question when I spoke to the reviewer "Như Gây Mê" was a lack of notability, but it seems even by the most pessimistic metric of evaluation the subject would qualify under Wikipedia's standards. The reviewer replied to me in broken English without sufficiently providing an explanation for their evaluation: "Hi, I think this is not the right time for me to publish your article, the information is still too little to show the notability of the subject." So I'm asking for another staff member to evaluate the notability requirements of the individual/the article and if they do indeed suffice then I believe that yes, the article should be published based on that being the "issue" of the article. If that "asks" for a faster review, then I guess that's the answer? But it was more of a prior concern with how this requirement was being evaluated.
::::Thank you! Asf132 (talk) 05:26, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::You have resubmitted the draft, and will therefore get a 'second opinion' in due course once a reviewer gets around to assessing it. We don't provide on-demand reviews here at the help desk.
:::::I have no comment to make regarding another reviewer's command of English; nor should you, in my opinion. Any reviewer working on the English Wikipedia will almost certainly have sufficient skills to be able to review a draft and its associated English-language sources. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:36, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
::::::Ok, got it. I also just received your message about managing a conflict of interest, and I would like to let you know that there is no personal or professional connection to my subject. I have studied the subject independently through my own research in the last half-decade as his company was rising and falling. This should be clearly evidenced by my neutrality throughout my draft, which highlights both his professional accomplishments as well as evidence that he played a significant role in the eventual bankruptcy of his company. Asf132 (talk) 05:48, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::::Unusually (for me), I reviewed the draft you refer to, and also had to decline it for lack of evidence of notability. Most of the sources are either primary, or cover the View company with only passing mentions of Mulpuri. I believe the only one that provides significant coverage directly about him is this BI piece (also cited for the second time via AOL, for some reason). -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:56, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::::PS: I did not decline this because of the unreferenced DOB, I declined it because of insufficient evidence of notability. Resubmitting without any attempt at addressing that issue is disruptive. Don't do that again, please, or your draft may be rejected outright. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 05:58, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
::::::::Thank you, I appreciate your time and feedback. I have found sources that are secondary that cover the subject in depth and added/replaced them now (if applicable to the content). Asf132 (talk) 06:14, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
:::::::::You have replaced one source, and resubmitted. Even if that new source were solid, which it isn't, that would still not be sufficient to satisfy WP:GNG.
:::::::::You do you, I suppose, but just be aware that you do not have unlimited attempts at this. If I were you, I would try to make the most of your chances. -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 06:20, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
::::::::::Actually, there were an additional two sources added (one of which was to provide a source for the year, which I will concede is not secondary)) and the other was the Forbes article that was added in with new content (which would count as secondary). Only the second mention of the Business Insider article source was swapped for an equivalent one that aimed to resolve your issue earlier about how it was cited twice (which is what you were referring to, unless you did not see my latest edits). So that was not the one in question that I was referring to. But I understand your general point and will add more that would fit the requirement. Asf132 (talk) 06:28, 2 September 2025 (UTC)

Dear @K.e.coffman

Hello! I have created and submitted a draft article titled Draft:Dhiman (Caste). I have done my best to follow Wikipedia's guidelines regarding notability, neutrality, and sourcing.
Before writing this page, I took the following page as an example: <ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quintiq<ref> .

I would appreciate it if an editor could take a look and provide feedback or review it for publication. Thank you for your time and help!
Can you please let me know what can be done (added, removed, modified) in order to have this page respecting the rules of Wikipedia.

Hello. Saw that my request was rejected and I would really love to know why. When i did my research i did notice that nicknames are a part of Wikipedia’s archive. The same Gabriel Iglesias as this nickname and it can be found here. All I really want is for people to be able to know where the airplane got its name from as many people claim nowadays thta they called him like this. I am not breaking any rules of this page all i want is to inform people of the origins of the nickname Fluffy for the airplane A380. If i can change something about it, please let me know.

Moreover, an image I have full copyrights to continues to be deleted.

Thank you for your reply. I described the subject's experience as one would expect in a Wikipedia article. The person who is the subject of this article has contributed to hockey and to sports medicine in a notable way. I would like this page to successfully be published, and am willing to take the necessary steps to do so. The requirements seem to change however and the editors are condescending. I am a professional.

:Hi MarionPB. Wikipedia's policies and guidelines are constantly changing, but the phenomenon you're experiencing is something different, what it's like to write for thousands of editors. Each reviewer may focus on something different.
:What leaps out at me is the draft's heavy reliance on frozenroyalty.net as a source. It's self-published, a blog written and published by Gann Matsuda. Wikipedia policy says, "Never use self-published sources as third-party sources about living people, even if the author is an expert, well-known professional researcher, or writer." You could replace frozenroyalty.net with a reliable source, remove all the content sourced from it, or wait until Pete Demers is dead. Without frozenroyalty.net, the draft has only two sources of any depth, Mass Live and Fox Sports. The latter is a primary source interview. To the extent that it's Demers talking about Demers, it may lack sufficient independence to help establish notability.
:I recommend setting aside for now the question of the photo. The presence or absence of a photo will have no effect on whether the draft is accepted for publication.
:Editors who choose to self-identify as female can be found in :Category:Female Wikipedians, but given the anonymous nature of editing, many editors choose not to disclose personal information. --Worldbruce (talk) 07:42, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

:When editing in talk pages, the use of all caps is perceived as "shouting". Please do not write in all caps. Being a "real athlete" is not a reason for there to be an encyclopedia article about him. To be accepted for publication, the draft would need to show that he is a notable boxer or that he is notable in some other way. :Hi Kallidai Ramesh Narayana. I left a welcome basket of links on your talk page that you may find useful.
:Most of the sources that the draft cites are of extremely low quality: ibiblio.org, threadreaderapp, swamydesika.tripod.com, allaboutshoes.ca, ramanuja.org, indiadivine.org, fampeople.com, and anudinam.org. To have any hope of the draft being accepted, remove all of them and any content that came from them. For a topic of this nature there ought to be scholarly sources - books by academics published by university presses and articles by acadmics published in peer reviewed journals. Those are the kinds of sources to use. If you aren't sure where to start looking, try finding the topic in a printed encyclopedia and see what sources they cite. --Worldbruce (talk) 15:33, 3 April 2019 (UTC)

:Hi Lou Renwick. You need to prove what you're writing by citing reliable sources. I've added a source to Draft:Cragend Silo as an example. If you need help finding sources, a local library or historical society would be a good place to start. The Ballroomdancer Luca Baricchi is for Ballroomdance like Michael Barischnikov for ballet. He developed Ballroomdance in his Career to the modern Form we see in this days.
There is an article about him on Wikipedia with his ex-wife ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luca_and_Loraine_Baricchi ) and an article for his ex-wife ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loraine_Barry ). The new Article is more detailed than the old one and show his career for a longer Periode of time.

:Hi Gedgmoss. If by "old" you mean taken before 1924, then they are in the public ___domain and you may upload them to Wikimedia Commons. If they are newer than that, you probably can't legally share them online (there are a few exceptions, but they are complicated, and you would need to know a lot about the history of the image - when it was taken, when it was published, whether it was registered, whether it was renewed, who took it, when they died, etc.) The presence or absence of photos will have no effect on whether the draft is accepted or not, so I recommend that you forget about images for now and concentrate on the text. --Worldbruce (talk) 01:15, 4 April 2019 (UTC)

Do you reject all articles about famous prisoners or just mine?

Do you have any objective or impartial authors?

I used to be able to trust Wikipedia, however it has disappointed me too many times with faulty information and opinions posted as verified facts. Now, it replies with a patently absurd claim about an article it should have encouraged and posted long ago.

Wikipedia, please don't keep asking me to contribute. I've already corrected the defective writing of many of your authors (like the one that reviewed my article proposal) already. I will never contribute until the above decision changes.

I am trying to create a page for the Mishiiken Tribe of Mackinac Island. The first time I submitted it was tagged as appearing to be original research. :Hi @Mamaazhi'iwe. Have you checked the output to make sure that ChatGPT has not made up any content, or stated anything that is not verified by the sources? A Wikipedia article is <u>only</u> a summary of what existing reliable published sources state: nothing more. When you use an AI chatbot to help with drafts they have a habit of adding what we call "original research" or "synthesis": information which is not supported by existing reliable published sources.
:I would recommend going through the draft and carefully check every line for any evidence that ChatGPT has added any original research or synthesis. Likewise, if you have included any original research or synthesis, please remove this and focus on only summarising what the existing reliable published sources have stated. <span style="background-color: RoyalBlue; border-radius: 1em; padding: 3px 3px 3px 3px;"><span style="color: GhostWhite">qcne</span> <small><span style="color: GhostWhite">(talk)</span></small></span> 19:18, 2 September 2025 (UTC)
