Career
1998–2000: early career and "Mysterious Times"
She first achieved global success by appearing on German DJ/producer team Sash!'s single "Mysterious Times" in 1998, which boosted her profile. Prior to "Mysterious Times" she had released three singles, Angel, Deeper Shade Of Blue (which was later a hit for Steps) and Killin' Time. None made the British Top 75 chart, although "Killin' Time" made the Finnish top 20.
Cousins' first big break was in the music industry, appearing on German DJ/producer team Sash!'s single "Mysterious Times" in 1998. Before "Mysterious Times", Cousins had released "Killin' Time" and "Angel" in March and June 1997, respectively.

Following the success of "Mysterious Times", "Killin'she Time"had wastwo reissuedfurther andUK ittop made20 hits with the Britishfollow-up top"Pray", released in November 1998, which also achieved success in the U.S., and the 1999 re-release of "PrayKillin' Time". Follow -up singles "Forever" and athe reissue ofreissued "Angel" only scrappedreached the UK top 50, as(though dida debutpublished albumrecount "Killingof the singles chart showed that Time".Forever" actually Followingreached these#38 disappointments, rather Tinathan the previously published #45). Cousins turned her attention to Australia where the song, "Forever" achieved gold sales. "Pray" was analso even biggera success in Australia, hittingreaching the top 10, and becoming her second gold single sitting in the ARIA chartsCharts where it remained for more than 3four months, and becoming the eighth most played song on Australian radio for 1999.

WhileWhilst in Australia on a promopromotional tour, she re-recorded her track "Nothing Toto Fear" and had it remixedremixed by the Groove Peddlers. This became theher third Australian single, and the video was also shot there. and was followed by a remix EP which achieved healthy sales in Australia and New Zealand.

She collaborated again with Sash! on the top 10 hit "Just Around The Hill" andCousins joined Billie, Cleopatra, B*Witched and Steps on the track "Thank ABBA Forfor Thethe Music", a medley of ABBA hits that they performed as a tribute at the 1999 Brit Awards. The performance was so popular that a single was released whichand hitreached the top 10 in the UK, Republic of Ireland, Sweden, Australia and New Zealand. In 2000, she again collaborated with Sash!, on the UK top 10 hit "Just Around the Hill".

2005–2008
Due to record company issues, Tina did not release anything again until 2005 when she came back with a new single "Wonderful Life", which was released first in Australia. "Wonderful Life" cemented Tina back on the Australian music charts—spending three months in the top 50 and becoming her biggest radio hit to date. However, the follow-up "Come To Me" barely cracked the Top 50 (though the video get airplay on the Australian TV), as did the album "Mastermind". The third single to be taken from the album was "Pretty Young Thing" was released in two CD formats, one of which was limited to 1000 pressings. The third single performed much better than the previous single, "Come To Me", becoming Tina's sixth top 40 hit in Australia and ninth to chart overall. The set included a new track "All You Need Is Love" and highly anticipated remixes of the club hit "Hymn".
In 2005, Cousins released her first single in five years with "Wonderful Life", a cover of the Black song, which had originally been released in Australia. In 2007, "Wonderful Life" was adopted by Hoyts as their primary pre-feature theme music. "Wonderful Life" reached No. 15 in Australia and spent four months in the Top 50, becoming her biggest radio hit.

The follow-up single was "Come to Me". Both singles were taken from her second album Mastermind, which reached the UK and Australian Top 50. The third single to be taken from the album, "Pretty Young Thing", was released in two CD formats, one of which was limited to 1,000 pressings. The single reached the Australian Top 30.
Tina spends most of her time between Australia and the UK, performing regularly. A notable sign of her continuing popularity was her guest appearance on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a British comedy panel show, which was broadcast on the 2nd November 2006.

Cousins made a guest appearance on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, a UK television comedy panel show, which was broadcast on 2 November 2006, in the game's Identity Parade.
She sings two new songs on the latest album by Dutch group 4 Strings, which is called "Main Line". The songs are "Diamonds" and "Curious" and are rumoured to be released as singles in 2007.

In late 2006, dance format radio station WMPH became the first US station to put any of Cousins's singles in regular rotation. In 2007, she co-wrote and performed vocals on two songs on the Main Line album by Dutch group 4 Strings. The track "Curious" became a Top 30 Hot Dance Airplay hit.
