The introduction has only an Atlanta-wide view, while the article is supposed to cover all of Georgia. Can this be corrected? Diez2 00:31, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

:It talks about following the route of US 41 throughout the state and discusses its name from the Atlanta to the TN line (and ignoring namings within metro Atlanta). That seems pretty statewide. —C.Fred (talk) 00:37, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Larry McDonald
I swear that the Larry McDonald Freeway sign has been there since before 1998. I seem to remember it even in the 1980's. Can anyone verify this date?

Suggestion for inclusion.
It would be nice to have a history section such as that of Interstate 285. The history of when construction began, problems they had (home losses and so forth) and completion dates would be ideal for the article. My Mother's family lived in a house that was removed for the construction of I-20, I believe. They were forced to move to another part of town entirely. In any case, this information is necessary for encyclopedic entries. At least, I believe so. I don't presently have a way to research this, else I'd write it myself. == Old exit numbers column ==

I suggest we remove the old exit numbers column. It's saying that exit 241 was formerly 87 and 242 was formerly 87A. Per my knowledge, 242 was formerly simply 87. Given how long ago 2000 was, I don't think we'll ever be able to correct this column, so I suggest we remove it. Any objections?? ::Old Georgia highway maps or route logs exist that can be used as a source for exit numbers. So is this a suggestion to remove the old exit numbers column because several of them are wrong (but can be corrected) or a suggestion to remove the old exit numbers column for another reason? <span style="border:1px solid #329691;background:#228B22;"><span style="color:#FFCD00;">&nbsp;V</span><span style="color:#FFCD00">C&nbsp;</span></span> 21:29, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

::::Have you looked at the old state maps? They're available online at http://www.dot.ga.gov/informationcenter/maps/Pages/StateMaps.aspx going back to 1920. <span style="background:#006B54; padding:2px;"><span style="color:white;">Imzadi&nbsp;1979</span>&nbsp;<span style="color:white;"><big>→</big></span></span> .
:::::But 1920 is too long ago for Interstate highways; the Interstate system began in 1956. Georgia guy (talk) 21:54, 7 September 2013 (UTC)
::::::facepalm Seriously? I said they have the maps going back to 1920. There are many years worth of maps there to consult, including all of them from the 1990s. <span style="background:#006B54; padding:2px;"><span style="color:white;">Imzadi&nbsp;1979</span>&nbsp;<span style="color:white;"><big>→</big></span></span> 22:01, 7 September 2013 (UTC)

Downtown Connector
The Downtown Connector article is the only Wikipedia article on a division of an Interstate highway to a greater extent than specifying the state it's in. It's specifically about the part of I-75 in Downtown Atlanta. Any thoughts anyone has?? (Feel free to disprove me an reveal that there's another Wikipedia article of this kind if you can.) :It's been tagged for merge since November, but the Borman Expressway has an article. —C.Fred (talk) 15:48, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

:In this case, I would merge the content from the Downtown Connector article into both the I-75 and I-85 articles as appropriate. Then that article can be either redirected to I-75 or converted into a set index article. It is my understanding that the DC is coterminous with the concurrent section of I-75/I-85. In other words, the name is only applied to the segment of freeway where the those two highways designations overlap, and it doesn't extend any further. In the end, you'd get a three-line article like:
<blockquote>The Downtown Connector is a freeway in downtown Atlanta, Georgia, which carries the overlapping sections of:
*Interstate 75 in Georgia, and
*Interstate 75 in Georgia.</blockquote>
:As for the Borman Expressway, that article needs to be merged, but the target article will need some additional historical information first. <span style="background:#006B54; padding:2px;"><span style="color:white;">Imzadi&nbsp;1979</span>&nbsp;<span style="color:white;"><big>→</big></span></span> 21:25, 25 May 2014 (UTC)

:It's definitely not the only one: Central Artery, Bruckner Expressway, Cross Bronx Expressway, Dan Ryan Expressway, Kennedy Expressway, Connecticut Turnpike. And don't forget bridges and tunnels, many of which have significant approaches (e.g. Pulaski Skyway). Knee-jerk merge tagging in 5. --NE2 10:34, 10 September 2014 (UTC)

Exit 138; Perry Parkway, Thompson Road or US BYP 341
Here's a couple of things I discovered while fixing some bannered routes of U.S. Route 341 and the state highways they have concurrencies with. Exit 138 is actually Perry Parkway, which in this segment is U.S. Route 341 Bypass (Perry, Georgia) and Georgia State Route 11 Connector (Perry). Yet it's still signed as being for Thompson Road, despite the fact that the interchange is north of Thompson Road, which itself is cut off by I-75. Shouldn't we add these notes to the exit list, until GDOT decides to replace the signs? ---------User:DanTD (talk) 23:35, 13 April 2016 (UTC)

:According to google maps street view now, US 341 was rerouted to the bypass, US 341 bypass was demolished, and the new sign says just “Perry Parkway” with the shields. Hope that helps. Recently a new stand-alone article has been created specifically for the South Metro Express Lanes, which I do not believe achieved notability standard for WikiProject U.S. Roads. Since these are I-75 lanes, all history and information should be in this article and not split out. --WashuOtaku (talk) 06:15, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
:Should the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes page also be merged into the I-75 page? Morriswa (Charlotte Allison) (talk) 15:36, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
::I wasn't aware of it, but yes. --WashuOtaku (talk) 17:33, 30 November 2018 (UTC)
:I agree with you both. They should be merged together. --Bashurman100 (talk) 15:48, 17 December 2018 (UTC)
::I'm not so sure. We've already got Virginia HOT lanes linked to the article for Interstate 95 in Virginia, as well as Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) and it should probably be linked to other related articles. The two Metro Express Lane articles would could lead to overextension of the Interstate 75 in Georgia article, plus the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes article also involves Interstate 575. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 06:37, 22 December 2018 (UTC)
:Oppose, the projects have plenty of media coverage, dwarf other in-state Interstate projects in costs in scope that have articles i.e. Tom Moreland Interchange, and as noted above, other managed lanes articles exist.Mccunicano (talk) 02:06, 30 December 2018 (UTC)
