It is a software tool based on ELP (entity-link-property) methodology, which give the user the ability to have insight in relationship between data entities to discover patterns and insight in data. Analyst's notebook is common used tool by digital analyst's at law enforcement, military and other governmental intelligence bodies, or at fraud departments in financial, regulators etc. It is a part of the [[Human Terrain System]], a [[United States Army]] program which embeds social scientists with combat brigades.
