== Usage ==

* <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup HTML}}</nowiki></code> puts articles into [[:Category:Articles with }}

* This cleanup template can be used to tag pages that use [[Help:HTML_in_wikitext|HTML markup]] that can be replaced with [[Help:Wikitext|wiki markup]].

* <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup HTML}}</nowiki></code> puts articles into [[:Category:Articles with }}HTML markup]] and [[:Category:Articles covered by WikiProject Wikify]]

* An unnamed parameter will replace the word "article" in the alert box message — <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup HTML|section}}</nowiki></code> changes the message to start "This section uses HTML markup".

* When adding to a page, it is helpful to other editors to specify which tags are unwanted, like this: <code><nowiki>{{cleanup HTML|tags=table, tr, td}}</nowiki></code> — These tags will be displayed in the alert box.

* If a date parameter is provided such as <code><nowiki>{{</nowiki>Cleanup HTML|date={{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code> then the page is put into a by-month category instead. If the date is left out, a [[Wikipedia:Bot|bot]] will add it later.
