== Usage ==

* This cleanup template can be used to tag pages that use [[Help:HTML_in_wikitext|HTML markup]] that can be replaced with [[Help:Wikitext|Wiki markup]].

* When adding to a page, it is helpful to other editors to specify which tags are unwanted, like this: <nowiki>{{cleanup HTML|tags=table, tl, td}}</nowiki><br />These tags will be displayed in the alert box.

* For a list of which tags are unwanted</nowiki></code> andputs instructionsarticles oninto how[[:Category:Articles towith performHTML cleanup,markup]] seeand [[:Category:Articles withcovered HTMLby markupWikiProject Wikify]].

* <code><nowiki>{{Cleanup HTML}}</nowiki></code> puts articles into [[:Category:Articles with HTML markup]] and [[:Category:Articles covered by WikiProject Wikify]]

* If a date parameter is provided such as <code><nowiki>{{</nowiki>Cleanup HTML|date={{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}<nowiki>}}</nowiki></code> then the page is put into a by-month category instead. If the date is left out, a [[Wikipedia:Bot|bot]] will add it later.
