::Thanks! When I made the request, I just Googled some keywords so I could find something to copy/paste rather than typing it all out. So somebody got it wrong, but not Cabaniss. And thanks for including the family tree, which Cabaniss mentioned but I forgot to. == Excerpt from Enno Littman's article (1955) ==
Not to abuse the goodwill of fellow editors, but I'd like to have a look at the following article:
refbegin
* Littmann, Enno. "Arabische Märchen und Schwänke aus Ägypten". In: Akademie der Wissenschaften und der Literatur. Abhandlungne der Klasse der Literatur no. 2. Wiesbaden, 1955. pp. 47-52 (tale nr. 8, I believe).
refend
For The Son of the Ogress (Kabylian folk tale)
The pages seem to indicate a modern Egyptian variant of Cupid and Psyche.

:The tale is indeed this one. Thank you. A small "but", however: I Just saw that Littmann has a section of Anmerkungen (commentaries on the tales). If it is not too much trouble, is is possible to scan only the Anmerkungen on tale nr. 8? KHR FolkMyth (talk) 21:30, 5 April 2022 (UTC)

Access to Émile Laoust's Contes Bérberes du Maroc and his commentaries
refbegin
* Laoust, Émile. Contes berbères du Maroc: textes berbères du groupe Beraber-Chleuh (Maroc central, Haut et Anti-Atlas). Larose, 1949. around page 189ff (some before and some after). [I think it must be the 1949 edition with the commentaries].
refend
For The Dancing Water, the Singing Apple, and the Speaking Bird. Émile Laoust is one of the few authors I have found that analysed Berber/North African variants of the tale type. I plan to check his notations and use it as one source in another article where I'm moving the North African (Algeria, Morocco, Kabyle, Tunisia) from that article.
Thanks, KHR FolkMyth (talk) 21:11, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
:KHR FolkMyth, that's https://archive.org/details/ContesBerberesDuMarocE.Laoust12, no? You can browse through the book there. — Pajz (talk) 20:41, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
::Thank you for the link. I checked it and it seems to lack the commentaries, since, by the link on googlebooks, Laoust remarks on specific motifs of the Berber/Kabylian/Algerian variants of type 707. I plan to use it as a source for another article to where I'm moving the North African variants from "The Dancing Water, The Singing Apple and the Speaking Bird". :::I have my doubts, the details you gave and the details of the Internet Archive copy seem to be a perfect match. Maybe Google Books has gotten it wrong (which is not a particularly rare occurrence, even though everyone always seems to assume it must be correct). I've ordered the volume you cited to the reading room and will check if page 189 looks like the one in the Google Books snippet. — Pajz (talk) 12:04, 10 April 2022 (UTC)
KHR FolkMyth, sent. This is from the other sub-volume/part of the volume, 50,2. 50,1, which you cite, is sub-titled "Textes berbères du groupe Beraber-Chleuh", 50,2 is subtitled "Traduits et annotés". The Google Books record wrongly suggests the excerpt is in 50,1, presumably because in the volume scanned by Google, 50,1 was bound together with 50,2. — Pajz (talk) 19:15, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
:Thank you. Seeing Laoust's notations, it is even better than what I expected! resolved KHR FolkMyth (talk) 21:12, 12 April 2022 (UTC)
