Ajay Natraj started his career as a junior artist. He first appeared in a Malayalam movie, Kakki Nakshathram in 2002.
Natraj was known for his dance performances during his school college days. In the year 2008 he got selected as one among the 16 out of 16000 contestants in a dance reality show in the Jeevan tv, and he won third prize as best male dancer. Director Harikumar was the one among the judges of the show, and he invited Mr.Natraj to play the character of a police officer in his upcoming tamil movie "Madurai Sambhavam". It was his first appearance as a character role.

He got married with his long time Greek girlfriend Sofia Digaletou in 2015, and he has a Daughter Eirini Xrisovalantou. At present he is settled in Cochin, Kerala
