:The same principle applies ''anywhere'' in Wikipedia. More so on talk pages, I would have thought, as they're meant to be used for free and unfettered discussion of sometimes controversial issues. Users may post content which other users don't like. On the subject of Portugal, check out the [[Talk:Portuguese Empire]] page, which is part of [[Wikipedia:WikiProject Indonesia]] and as a result as an Indonesian flag emblazoned on it, apparently without controversy.
