::::::This way, <code><nowiki>{{ISO 3166 code-3|England}}</nowiki></code> would result in no output the same way <code><nowiki>{{ISO 3166 code-3|No place}}</nowiki></code> does, but it will still be valid to write <code><nowiki>{{ISO 3166 name|ENG}}</nowiki></code> like it is to write <code><nowiki>{{ISO 3166 name|UAE}}</nowiki></code>. This will no longer break [[Template:Infobox road]], hypothetically. [[User:Pon Pon the bon bon|Pon Pon the bon bon]] ([[User talk:Pon Pon the bon bon|talk]]) 07:44, 1 March 2024 (UTC)
==In search of lost functionality==
I want to replace a ISO code with the country name. In the old system I could write something like <nowiki>{{subst:ISO 3166 name|GBR}}</nowiki> or <nowiki>{{subst:Country name|GBR}}</nowiki>and publish to get "United Kingdom" With the super-duper Lua implementation this doesn't work. How do I get this effect with the new system? All the best: ''[[User:Rich Farmbrough|Rich]] [[User talk:Rich Farmbrough|Farmbrough]]''<small> 15:19, 6 January 2025 (UTC).</small><br />
