I have noticed that the mobile app view has a fixed width, so the labels, points or whatever there is in the map is not shown in the correct position, but relative to the position it should have if the map had the original width. : This is miserable. It seems to be fine as long as the base map is not too wide. On my phone it breaks above 330px, but is that a device-dependent thing? If so, what would be a recommended maximum width. The app appears to just chop the middle out of the map, and then (as described above) place all the CSS stuff relative to the new left corner. Chrome browser on my phone, by contrast, provides the whole map with horizontally scroll. Is the App now a stable platform, or is this something that has recently changed? Sorry - all I have is questions about why the App doesn't behave like the browser, and have no answers other than only use maps below (say) 300px, which breaks a lot of the 6,500 existing maps.
: This is confusing. On my phone it was breaking above 330px when viewed as the first item in my own Sandbox, but trying it just now, it works correctly when shown within the sub-section below.
:Two examples below, the same map at 320px and 380px wide. Wikipedia phone App shows (on my phone) the first made narrower, works correctly, the second, at its intended width, has massive dot-shift within the App. [[User:RobinLeicester|RobinLeicester]] ([[User talk:RobinLeicester|talk]]) 21:48, 29 August 2025 (UTC)
