Negli Stati Uniti lo ''United States Federal Witness Protection Program'' è stato istituito nel 1970 dall<nowiki>{{'</nowiki>}}''Organized Crime Control Act'', gestito dallo [[United States Marshals Service|U.S. Marshals Service]].
