The series was created by [[executive producer]] [[Kevin Burns]] (no relation to [[Ken Burns|Ken]]) and [[Hugh Hefner]], founder and [[editing|editor]]-in-chief of ''[[Playboy]]'' magazine. The series focuses on the lives of [[Hugh Hefner]]'s three [[courtesan]]s who live with him at the [[Playboy Mansion]]: [[Holly Madison]], [[Bridget Marquardt]], and [[Kendra Wilkinson]]. Hefner and various other Playmates make guest appearances.
