Elliot was born in [[Canada]] but grew up in [[Houston, Texas]]. He is married to wife Jacquie, and has two sons (born in February 2004 and in August 2006). He also had an American Bulldog named NascarMolson, who was put down after a long illness in June 2007. Nascar's name was likely a nod to Elliot's poser roots. And like all good Canadians, he loves his hockey but hates Wayne Gretzky. He's also a season ticket holder to the [[Washington Capitals]].
