I vincitori in carica del Super Bowl hanno un record di 13-5 nel Kickoff Game. I [[New York Giants]], i [[Baltimore Ravens]], i [[New England Patriots]], i [[Los Angeles Rams]] e i [[Kansas City Chiefs]] sono gli unici cinque campioni in carica del Super Bowl ad aver perso. I Giants sono anche l'unica squadra di casa ad aver perso due volte nel Kickoff Game: una volta nella primissima edizione della gara, quando il vincitore del Super Bowl in carica non era ancora un partecipante regolare, e un'altra nel 2012.
