'''Miranda''' is a [[CityRail]] railway station on Sydney's [[Illawarra line]]. It serves a residential area, and is located near the [[Sutherland Shire]]'s main shopping centre (Westfield Shoppingtown Miranda, known locally as "Miranda Fair"). It has an island platform.
The station is served by two trains per hour for most of the time, with additional trains at weekday peak hours.
 
TheUntil stationrecently, hasthe stairsstation leading tohad a subwayramp connected to the streets on either side, and thus does not have [[Easy Access]] for wheelchairs. The station has since been renovated, with stair and lift access.
 
The station opened with the line in [[1939]], when the residential area was first being developed. The line through Miranda was single track at that time. The line was duplicated in about [[1980]].
