Line 7:
In 1999, the JavaOne conference played host to an event called the Hackathon, this event was a challenge set by John Gage. Attendees were to write a program in Java for the new Palm V using the infrared port to communicate with other Palm users and register it on the Internet.
Recently, in 2008, JavaOne became known as "VomitOne" as 70 people were severely sickened by a virulent norovirus. Norovirus is most commonly spread by food contaminated with fecal matter or vomit. It is worth noting that Sun provided free meals during the conference although there were some complaints as to the quality and service.
