During Asadi's time, and for quite some time after that, much of the [[Khorasan]] province was under violent attacks and rivalry of various Turkic groups. Many native intellectuals left [[Khorasan]] as a result of these conflicts, or they stayed there but lived in seclusion. As a result of such violence and conflicts, Asadi left [[Khorasan]] for the [[Iran]]ian provice of [[Provinces of Iran|Azarbaijan]] (not to be confused with the presend-day [[Azerbaijan|Republic of Azerbaijan]] which was only named ''Azerbaijan'' after [[World War I]]) and stayed there until his death. His tomb is in city of [[Tabriz]].
