I apologize that this seems rushed and fragmented, but half of the discussion about this has occurred on BAG's IRC channel and half of it has occurred here. One of the things that has come up in IRC that has not yet been transcribed here is how to inform the community about this ongoing discussion; I do agree it is advisable to keep the community informed of this. Where to bring this up, though, has as of yet been left open.
