As for your proposed change, it doesn't reflect the cited source – while you may think your definition is better, such [[WP:OR|original research]] by you isn't suitable for Wikipedia – you're welcome to propose a [[WP:SOURCE|reliable source]] for a definition, but not to make your own interpretations.
