I dunno, why don't we keep the notion of "valued" (instead of throwing it out as a contradiction), and use it to mean one of two isomorphic objects:
# a multivalued function is singly selected aka uniquely determined, but with set-valued output (if viewed as a set-valued output of possibilities).
# a multivalued function is not singly selected aka nonuniquely determined, but with individual-element-valued output (if viewed as a non-deterministic relation).
