Line 3:
Windows Live is the collective brand name for a group of Microsoft services which are currently under development, being largely rebranded from MSN, . Generally these services are accessed via a web browser, and the data required to run them (along with data the user may input to the service) are stored on a remote server rather than on a local computer. This type of software is thought by many, including Microsoft and Google, to be the future of computing because the services and user data are available anywhere, without installing an application.

Some of the services, that currently have the Windows Live branding are Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Safety Center, Windows Live Favorites, Windows OneCare Live, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Search, and Windows Live Local. Currently, all are in the beta stage of production. All familiar Windows Live services shall be done replacing any of the current MSN services.

Strangely, there seems to be some inconsistency in services that fall under the Windows Live brand. In the case of Windows Live Messenger an executable must be downloaded and installed for access to the service. This defies what appears to be the definition of a live product. Also, Windows Messenger is similarly named which could prove confusing to consumers when the service is released to the public.
