The '''Tareens'''Tareen are ansettled important tribe ofin [[PashtunsPishin]]. Tareens are settled in Pishin, [[Harnai]], [[Dukhi]], and [[Gulistan]] districts in [[Balochistan, (Pakistan)|Balochistan]] and the [[Hazara Division]] of the [[North-West Frontier Province, Pakistan|North-West Frontier Province]] of [[Pakistan]]. They are also present in sizeable proportions in the areas near [[Kandahar]] in [[Afghanistan]]. They played a very important role in [[Sultan]] [[Mohammad Ghori]]'s army and showed great bravery. The Tareens of Hazara Division migrated from [[Kandahar]] in the [[17th century]][[Anno Domini|AD]]CE under the leadership of [[Sher Khan Tareen. After the attacks led by Ahmed Shah Abdali of [[Kabul, Afghanistan|Kabul]], Durranis had a firm grip over this region. Lateron Abdali also conquered [[Kashmir]].
Durranis were not interested in directly ruling this region because they knew there were already some prominent Pashtun tribes present, so they considered it wise to give control to popular local personalities. Amongst these great personalities were Najeebullah Khan Tareen, Sa'adat Khan Swatiof Swat, Zaka Khan, a.k.a.also known as Sooba Khan [[Tanoli]], and some others. Tareens have some history with other [[Pashtun]] tribes of Hazara Division against [[Sikhs]] in the Sikh riegn. People like Mohammad Khan Tareen and Bostan Khan Tareen are heroes for the whole Pashtun tribe.
[[Haripur]] (located in North-West Frontier Province) is the main District of Tareen Tribetribe in the region. Mostly they speak [[Hindko]] in the Hazara division, but the spoken language of TareensTareen tribe in [[Balochistan (Pakistan)|Balochistan]] is [[Pashto]]. The famous khels and subsections of the Tareen tribe are [[Taur]], [[Speen]], [[Abdaal]], [[Taranzai]], [[Mangalzai]], [[Bedalzai]] and [[Ferozzai]]. [[Mashwanis]], [[SwatiSwat]]sis, [[Tanoli]] and [[Jadoons]] are the closest Pashtun tribes to TareensTareen in the region of Hazara division.
