At the last [[Surinamese legislative election, 2010|legislative elections]] (25 May 2010) the party won 12095 votes and one seat in The [[National Assembly of Suriname|National Assembly]]. The political leader Carl Breeveld is DNA member since 2010. The party is a reformist party, it will strengthen human rights and seeks to promote democratic and constitutional spirit in Suriname. DOE is known as a party not participating in polarization, but goes for the national interest.
