* This template takes the optional parameter {{para|for}} (a.k.a. {{para|reason}}) which can be used to explain what issues need to be addressed, ''e.g.'' {{para|for|consistent spelling}}. The default value is "grammar, style, cohesion, tone, or spelling".

* This template takes the optional parameter {{para|date}}, with the format {{para|date|{{CURRENTMONTHNAME}} {{CURRENTYEAR}}}}. An expedient way to enter it is <code><nowiki>|subst:{{DATE}}</nowiki></code> instead of using {{para|date}} directly.
