Tables are a commonly-used way of displaying information, particularly in articles that contain listsdata. As with all things on Wikipedia, however, they require some explanation. The simplest way to insert a table is with the editing toolbar that appears when you edit a page. Depending on your preferences, you will see one of two toolbars. Pressing the 'insert table' button will open a dialog that allows you to define a table.

If you have the enhanced editing toolbar (as seen on the right), there's an easy way to create a simple table. Just click "advanced", and then the icon that looks like a table: [[File:Vector toolbar insert table button.png|alt=Table button]] (second from the right). This should generate something that looks like this:
