The [[balance]] of [[hate]] and [[love]], the two main [[theme]]s in life, is a common theme in Valo's lyrics. The symbol is sported as a tattoo by many HIM fans, including professional skater and [[Jackass (TV series)]] stuntman [[Bam Margera]], who has his own TV program ([[Viva la Bam]] on [[MTV2]]). Margera occasionaly sports the symbol as his own symbol. Fans use the heartagram to represent both HIM and Bam Margera.
